An orphan, she grew up surrounded by hardly anyone else. The orphanage she lived at only held so many people. She never grew close to any of her peers, and soon, she set off to attend a boarding school. There, Saiph learned how to read, write, and do basic math. Her formative years proved a blur for her, because soon enough, she grew to be an adult. The one thing that stuck with her was her interest in gardening. Always, she stayed up late tending to the gardens at the school, finding various flora to grow around the grounds. The teachers, impressed by her devotion to the hobby, sometimes paid her to get up early in the morning to perform the task. Even without monetary compensation, Saiph continued to do it without questions asked. After leaving school, she settled down in a cottage and sold bouquets to the townspeople living nearby. Even with the shifting of the weather, nothing came to bother her routine, as she always awoke early and tended to her flowers, arranged her bouquets, and set up shop. Saiph took an interest in baking during this time as well, giving loaves of bread to her most loyal customers. Her life felt perfect; she could not imagine anything better.

Then, when the rain fell and the thunder boomed on that fateful night, Saiph expected to only clean up her fields the next day. The banging on the door forced her out of bed and pull it open, only to discover someone begging to be let inside. They screamed about men pillaging the nearby town, how one of their close friends met the edge of a blade. Hysterical, Saiph let them in and shut the door, letting them cry into her chest. Then, anticipating the worst, she brought inside her tree-cutting ax. Never swinging it against another person before, once the cottage's door fell down, she wielded it against their intruders. The sickly sound of flesh against metal hit her ears, yet the adrenaline forced her to keep moving. Each swing, the soldiers' weapons clattered to the ground. With two down, the others fled the premises. The villager behind her wept tears of joy, thanking her for her protection. Looking down at the ground, Saiph gasped at her prior actions, finding it difficult to root herself in reality. Though combat classes back then never took her interest, now that life forced her to pick up the weapon and fight, she found herself entranced.

The next day, Saiph awoke early with the villager and hurried to the village. Only charred remains of its former glory remained, the soldiers having burnt everything useless to them to a crisp. In the midst of the wreckage, a few people stood, wearing armor unlike Saiph's attackers from the night before. Holding up her ax, she approached the strangers, only to be told that they were here to see if anyone survived. They insisted that they were not here to cause anymore harm; they were here to learn information about the attackers. The villager sprung out from behind Saiph and explained everything to them. At the end of her story, they then praised Saiph for her bravery, discussing how great of a fighter she was. They told the people that she should come with them to achieve their goals, for if she did not, they would miss out on a great team member. One of the leaders, a woman with blue hair, eyed Saiph and frowned; she learned her name was Wrym. The other, a man with violet hair tinged with crimson, looked at her and whispered a few words to her; his name was Fafnir. They spoke to each other for a little bit as Saiph sheepishly explained that she would not mind if they denied her entry into their party. After some deliveration, the leaders formerly invited her in, and with the villager's insistence, she accepted their invitation.

Thus began the days of Saiph, member of Fafnir's Holy Crusaders, the Battlefield's Rose as bards would hail her. She traveled the lands with the rest of the party, new members joining along the way. She missed the quiet days where she sold her bouquets, but at the same time, exploring new places meant more chances to discover new flora. Not to mention, she adored the thrill of protecting others. When Wrym thanked her for her strikes, her cheeks grew hot, almost embarrassed. At the same time, receiving gratitude from Wrym herself lifted her over the moon, knowing how she seldom showed such kindness. The days turned to months, and months turned to years. They traveled through the whole of the continent, fighting in the name of peace. At some moments, their party reminded Saiph of the soldiers who invaded her home, yet at the same time, they justified their actions by claiming that they were in the right. Saiph held her tongue, repeating the mantra that they fought for peace above all else. When times turned bleak, she recluded to herself by studying flowers, drying some and keeping them in books. She was no better than the rest of her peers. This late into their conquest, she could not turn back, so she stuck with them until the end. The day came where both leaders stepped into a cave to perform a rite. Saiph braced herself for the incoming change...

As peace graced the world, she put down her ax. She seldom met with the other party members either, moving back into a cottage in the new country of Nohseyrnas, now led by King Fafnir alone. Somehow, Wrym died during that rite, and Saiph found herself growing more distant with her companions as the years passed. Sometimes, she visited the castle to say hello or to drop off a few gifts. Though, during the warring, she found herself craving to return to her peaceful lifestyle, she found herself needing to get back on the field. To assure that the world stayed peaceful, she enlisted in the army and picked up a shiny new ax. She often spends months away from home. She never got back into the business of bouquet arrangements. In fact, she changed so much from her earlier days that she even started going to taverns and drinking away. The result of one of these nights, Vritra, enlisted in the army herself without Saiph's knowledge.

She fell hard for Elya when they first met. Marrying each other, they soon had Analise who later took up sewing. They adopted Clara from the nearby orphanage, with one of the directors claiming her to be from one of the noble houses. Though Saiph hardly stays at home, she loves her daughters greatly, now fighting to protect them and ensure their future success. When the world of Mamtir becomes entrenched in conflict again, Saiph fights to achieve the worldwide peace she kept all those years ago.

Analise Vraiti

daughter
The two have a normal relationship with each other. Unfortunately, because Saiph can barely afford to be home, Analise often finds herself alone with her sister and mother. Saiph regrets that she cannot spend more time with her children. However, duty will always call, and if she can protect her family, she will take that chance. Besides her frequent absences, when she is present, she encourages Analise while she sews clothing. She thinks her daughter deserves the world and that she will distinguish herself above all others.

Clara Vraiti

adopted daughter
When she thinks about Clara, she first thinks about the noble family that she came from. Saiph thinks such a noble family has no business being nobles in the first place. No matter what children are born into them, each one of them is destined for greatness. That has always been Saiph's belief. However, it seems some would beg to disagree. Though she cannot be there for Clara all the time, she makes it her job to know that she cares for her.
