Honestly you may just consider this as more of a behind-the-scenes kinda thing. A lot of this is stuff that is no longer canon (especially the stuff that is from the earliest sketchbooks), or simply stuff I don't want to share with most people, but still consider worth storing somewhere. But yeah.

This is ABSOLUTELY NOT the recommended reading order. My thoughts tend to wander all over the place, all over the timeline, which is probably very hard to follow. Sure, you may observe my art style and characters developing over the course of this, but... yeah. This sure is an unintentional webcomic!

So unless you're up for the challenge of making sense out of this, I suggest you to please go for the intended reading order instead.

You may come back to this later if you're still curious. Thank you.

small beginnings
April 2017 - June 2017
Very little of this one is still canon, but it sure is where everything started!!

It's also not even a book, it's a notepad and it was literally falling apart. Morten actually does not show up until halfway through this one, though Bat follows soon after. And that's when this all begins.
the pink one
June 2017 - April 2018
A lot of firsts in this one - the beginnings of Einarr, Helena and Rune are all first seen in this one.

Very little of this one is still canon. And yeah, it came with printed flower and butterfly graphics inside, as it was clearly meant for little girls. I just grabbed whatever sketchbook I had, man.
teddy bear
April 2018- June 2018
Just three months!! Probably because it only had 50 (100) pages in it. but yeah. Speedy bear.

Einarr received some significant development in this one, going from just being Bat's mysterious sire who died, to this strange old beardless viking who constantly chopped his hair off for some reason. I mean, he definitely still had a way to go before he became... himself?

linnanmΓ€ki
July 2018 - October 2018
Another somewhat speedy one! Fellow Finns will know exactly where I bought this sketchbook :]

This is also where something resembling good comics started to form. Some rather significant characterization happening in this one.

moomin
October 2018 - April 2019

So just about half a year. A lot of shorter comics in this one. I really love the cover of it.

There was also a lot more doodles than comics in here, so there's not that much to say about this.

Though I do want to note that around the end of this sketchbook's lifespan, the internet discovered and suddenly got obsessed with the moomins. Fun coincidence!

duct taped spine
April 2019 - September 2021
OHOHOHHHH THIS IS A BIG ONE..... This one lasted two and a half years. TWO AND A HALF YEARS. IT WAS LITERALLY FALLING APART BY THE END.

This sketchbook had way too many pages for its quality - it split apart in the middle, the spine fell off, it has been absolutely wrecked to bits from my frequent usage and I love it.

So yeah, this one was pretty good. A lot of the longer main stories start in this one.

green one
September 2021 - November 2023
Two years also, though the speed was a little halted by my bad phone habits and also the way I've gotten increasingly more thorough with my art!

For sure one of my favorites, especially art-wise β™‘

By the end, the spine had fallen off, but unlike the previous one, it still wasn't completely falling apart. So that's nice.

navy blue
November 2023 - ???
Just started this one :3
