Tigel Smith's Links
One of his co-workers through Zhirael. Tigel doesn't trust him much due to Bonnie's obvious fondness for Zhirael, not that trust really comes easily to him in the first place. The atmosphere between them is subdued, but tense.
...Still, though, there are a few things that they have in common, and Bonnie isn't the worst person out there to talk to about them.
One of his new co-workers. Bonnie doesn't interact with him too deeply, mostly because Tigel seems kind of apprehensive about being around him. Bonnie thinks he's kind of a little bit of an asshole, but he can't really be mad. He gets it. He understands more than he'd like to admit. He's not going to blame Tigel for feeling the way he does, even if he's not going to be happy about it.
Their relationship is a little tense, but Bonnie thinks it can only improve.
An unexpected ally he made investigating a mass suicide in another Reality. They really didn't interact much, and as such Tigel doesn't know what to make of him. It's not very easy to inherently trust a walking mass of viscera, but he seemed pretty well-behaved...
A detective he met after getting involved in some sort of murder mystery. Though they didn't interact much, Laejizhar seeks to meet with him again. His son's name was on the mysterious list Tigel wrote, and he'll do whatever it takes to keep his son safe.
The Demon Lord he sold his soul to for the sake of Seems' life. Is naturally distrustful of him and - unless he's around Seems - is very openly bitter toward him. He doesn't really believe he'll earn his soul back, but what choice does he have? He'll play his game as long as he have to for Seems' sake.
Though Zhirael hasn't shown malicious intent toward him, Tigel can't bring himself to trust him. He doesn't want to be wrong, and eternity is a long time. Even if he's friendly now, how can Tigel be sure his soul won't be at risk a decade from now? A century? The horrifying idea of being eternally under his command, completely at his whims, overtakes any positive aspects that Zhirael presents.
An employee of his whose soul he owns. Zhirael's employed him to aid in his efforts to bring the sins of Heaven to light and liberate humanity. He revived his girlfriend, gave him a place to live, provides his income... and yet Tigel still seems to despise him. He's become very used to humans being fond of him against all odds, so to have someone treat him with such vitriol despite his best efforts... it's certainly new to him.
Tigel has exposed him to the side of humanity that's been wronged so deeply that it consumes them with hatred for both themselves and others, and Zhirael has found himself unable to blame Tigel for his loathing. The more Zhirael learns about him, the more he understands.
Despite Tigel's attitude toward him, Zhirael is fond of Tigel and trusts him unconditionally, confident in his ability to complete any task assigned to him. He hopes someday that Tigel will understand that and be able to trust him in return, but he's fine if Tigel takes his time. If he's learned one thing about humans, it's that you have to be very careful with them.
His girlfriend, and he hopes future wife. She's the light of his life and often uses her to motivate himself. His life revolves around trying to make her feel appreciated, like she's solved all of his problems and he's completely fixed and okay forever. (Though she really just wants him to be honest with her. It's okay, she's patient!)
Whenever she smiles, it makes him feel like life is worth living. When she's upset, all he wants is to move Heaven and Earth to console her. He feels incredibly blessed to have met her, and often can hardly believe that she's a real human being who really loves him. Even though he fears the future, as long as he can guarantee she'll still be there for it... nothing can hurt him.
Her boyfriend - and future husband, she hopes! She's very concerned about his well-being and always tries to cheer him up and make sure he feels safe. She knows more about him than he thinks she does. She understands why he won't open up, but still... she loves him so much and doesn't want him to feel like he has to hide his feelings from her! He doesn't need to fake it!
She understands why he feels that way, but she loves him through and through. She loves every part of him, from the good to the bad! She loves him when he's happy and loves him when he's falling apart! He's done a lot to help her, even if he doesn't realize it, and she doesn't care how much help he needs! She always wants to be with him. No one understands her better and no one loves her more... and, likewise, there's no one else she feels as close to or loves as much.
A co-worker of his, in a sense. Tigel is admittedly curious about the mysteries surrounding them and often copes with working for Zhirael by assuring himself that he's in it to help Eo. Their nature as a blank slate (and the fact that they're just a kid) makes them feel somewhat trustworthy, at least in comparison to Zhirael.
A co-worker of theirs. Eo often tags along with Tigel when he's doing work for Zhirael and has learned a lot from him, intentionally and otherwise. They have a hard time understanding Tigel's dislike of Zhirael, but doesn't judge. There's a lot about relationships they need to learn, apparently...
