Profile
On the planet of Rixile, there exist ten gods.
The deity of the Thunder element, Volt is heralded by his people as a hero, said to have created the weather with his arrows. His people have a high image of him, but in reality, Volt's a little sensitive, and definitely dorky. He tries his hardest, and pulls through more often than not.
Volt's heroism comes from a legend where he fended off primordial beasts at the planet's forming, sowing stars in the sky as he defeated each one. Volt tries to resolve disputes diplomatically first and pugnaciously second, but it doesn't mean he's not apt at combat.
Volt has a strong alliance with Terra and Galvan. In the past he has warred with Aether and Ignus, but nowadays they have a shaky truce.
He hasn't shown himself for centuries, but his people can feel him in every thunderstorm, and in the twinkling stars above. His symbol represents a lightning bolt.
- In Rixile lore, the element of Thunder is considered chaotic and directional--chaotic in that it is transient and mutable, as lightning always surprises the senses, and directional in that the cycles of the planet use it as fuel.
- The other chaotic elements are Dark, Fire, Air, and Water, while the only other directional element is Wood, thus considered Volt's opposite.
Additional Worldbuilding Information:
Race: Blitzers
Blitzers are of average height and build, mostly known for two things: their spiky hairstyles and their electrical powers. Their body courses with static electricity, causing their hair to bunch up in gravity-defying formations. Each blitzer has a black "tattoo" that develops in childhood and runs from one eye down to their dominant hand. They can discharge from this tattoo, creating a weapon or power supply in a pinch, though this can cause numbness and temporary exhaustion if pushed too far. Other blitzer features include long ears, monolid eyes, and an upturned nose.
Territory: Statica
Statica is one of a few ancestral territories that doesn’t have another race encroaching or occupying part of it, as they enjoy a healthy alliance with their neighbors Obsand and Tektios. With the three races working together, Statica became the birthplace of modern industrialization. The land itself is dry, breezy, and temperate.
Sanctuary: Storm Point Plateau
In the west of Statica, this plateau sits high atop a hill where storms always brew. Volt rose a tower on top of it, creating a stark silhouette against the sky. Legend says this tower controls the weather, and that lightning strikes around the plateau even without a cloud in the sky.
