Profile
On the planet of Rixile, there exist ten gods.
The deity of the Wood element, Phyll is seen as both a protector and a force of nature itself; he is said to be in empathic touch with every plant on Rixile. Technically a pacifist, Phyll can get downright scary if his territory is threatened. He really doesn't like getting pushed that far, though, and would never harm a friend.
Phyll's preferred way of life is to simply relax and enjoy the natural world, but unfortunately for many of the other races, his territory looks ripe with resources for the taking. He and his people have had to defend themselves for centuries, but still they persist with amazing tenacity.
Phyll and his people do not fight battles unless they absolutely have to, but they are occasionally helped by his neighbors and trading partners Cryos and Aether.
He hasn't shown himself for centuries, but his people can feel him in the presence of every plant, and in the comfort of their communities. His symbol represents a flower.
- In Rixile lore, the element of Thunder is considered orderly and directional--orderly in that it is reliable and concrete, as plants exist in even the most unexpected places, and directional in that the cycles of the planet use it as fuel.
- The other orderly elements are Light, Ice, Metal, and Earth, while the only other directional element is Thunder, thus considered Phyll's opposite.
Additional Worldbuilding Information:
Race: Folians
Folians are known for having a tree growing symbiotically inside of them, a quirk that stands out amongst the races. The tree grows as they do, slowly revealing branches and forming a top layer of leaves over their hair. When a folian dies, the tree is rooted and continues growing as their symbolic grave. They're a little on the shorter side and highly acrobatic, with rounder features. Folians have been reported to be able to expend their own tree's energy to heal other plants, but this seems to take a toll on the tree's own health in return, making the skill somewhat taboo.
Territory: Chlorron
Chlorron has the most pristine nature in all of Rixile, though many other races have since colonized areas around the coastline. Chlorron crosses the equator, and the land is almost entirely rainforest. While colonizers have tried to deforest and industrialize their areas, most of the land is still pristine.
Sanctuary: The Forever Growing Garden
The Garden is a giant jungle that is said to have at least one of every plant in it. It’s connected to Chlorron’s rainforest, and while it's regarded as sacred, it's also regarded as something to look at and not touch. The plants inside the Garden purportedly have a mind of their own and work to keep intruders out!
