Rynn's Links
Though the two siblings butt heads more than they get along, their bond is inseparable and they care for one another greatly.
The two had run into some kidnappers and Rion had been taken. Since then, Rynn had been on an endless hunt to search him down all across Teyvat, worried sick to her stomach. When she found him, she was surprised but greatly relieved to see him perfectly fine on the side of a road, eating a snack. She wasn’t even angry seeing his nonchalance, just impressed. Guess she had underestimated him.
Though the two siblings butt heads more than they get along, their bond is inseparable and they care for one another greatly.
The two had run into some kidnappers and Rion had let himself be taken to ensure Rynn’s safety. In the end, the kidnappers let him go because he had complained and whined so much about his well-being (once he was sure their goal wasn’t to harm him.) He could never forget the look on Rynn’s face when he was found, but also peeved that she didn’t believe he would make it.
Rynn thinks Yvonne is a very kind adult, despite her annoying first-impressions-lecture. After getting to know her more, it’s apparent she’s actually really soft-hearted and easy to take advantage of. Was it because they were so cute? Either way, this is useful information, hehe.
Yvonne had found the two siblings wandering around late one evening near a hilichurl camp, to which she lectured them about being alone. When she learned that they were looking for a place to stay, she didn’t hesitate to take them in, looking at their troubled expressions. The older sister in particular took one look at her garden and immediately agreed (It’s always nice when others appreciate it.) It was also good to see her being active and ask to help with the housework, plus— this means there are more friends for Flax. If they get along that is…
Hmmm :)
Rynn finds him cute so she spends a lot of time trying to chat with him and prank him…
“What are you? Can I touch your wings? Can I have a feather? I’ll give you one of my petals.”
Stay away (?)
Sometimes fun to play with... When she’s not messing with him.
“Huh???? NO you can’t have a feather—“
“Your eyes are so red! So pretty. Maybe not as pretty as my hair, but still lovely. What are you exactly? Some kind of fairy thing? You don’t look like an aranara or seelie, hmmm…” The string of questions seem to go on, but they are all in good faith.
“Have you met the Lady? She’s looks scary, but appears to be surprisingly gullible, heh. Is that your Dad? What a handsome man! He must be popular.”
“Mmhm, that makes sense.” Rynn nods as a response. “Oh yeah, I’m Rynn. Let’s be friends!”
*squints* Is this a new challenger approaching?
Thankfully Rynn's choice of praise had gained her some favourability from Morina, making her willing to at least entertain an introductory chat.
"I'm Morina, and I'm my Daddy's baby. So I am whatever daddy is."
Morina generally agrees with whatever Rynn has said, and even threw in some questions of her own to find out more about Rynn. She does, however, deny that Valerian was a popular person. Nonono, that won't do. And if it were true, she'd need to look into it...
As for whether Rynn is a friend or foe, perhaps Morina could pull her along for another of her "rumour scouting" activities to test those waters...
“Hi, Morina’s dad! :D I just met your baby, she’s very cute. She says you’re not popular, is that true? Your ears are funny. Can I touch them?”
To be honest, she hadn’t expected the man to allow her to touch his ears, but was delighted when she was given permission. Hmm, that look on Morina’s face… maybe she should listen to Flax’s advice but this reaction is truly interesting…
At any rate, Rynn wonders if her dad is anything like Valerian. He seems to be a good father for Morina to be smiling and laughing so much. How nice to see!
A girl who had come up to him as he was seated while watching Morina play. His initial impression of her was someone rather mature for he apparent age. It's not everyday he hears a child trying to chat up a friend's parent while calling their friend cute. Nonetheless, he was able to talk on amicable terms with Rynn. He eventually found out about her visiting Yvonne from Sumeru, and even briefly discussed recent happenings in Sumeru. (Though, he was a bit confused about where the talk about popularity came from.) Figuring he had enough rapport with the girl, he had allowed her to briefly touch his pointed ears while poised in awkward stillness...
He could already see Morina staring at them from the corner of his eye. RIP Valerian later.
👀 Now this kid has the look of someone who’ll have a fun reaction.
“Hiii, who’re you? You look kind of tired, that’s not good! You should get plenty of sunshine! Why are you staring at me like I’m a crushed bug under your shoe?”
Oh dear archons Morina multiplied. Carlisle had thought of Rynn as a rather blunt person, given how she popped up just to comment on how tired he looked (he replied that he wasn't tired, he just has droopier eyelids). In any case, she seemed like a rather curious girl, and he almost felt guilty of comparing her to Morina... until she started to hang out with Morina. Haiz. Morina really did multiply.
