Honestly, what's wrong with a little harmless trickery!
― Hermes

Hermes is the messanger of the gods, and is also the god of thieves, travelers, commerce, and is also a psychopomp.

Appearance

Hermes is the shortest god, standing about 5'7, and normally has to use his wings to properly communicate with others. His skin is covered in light yellow freckles, which are similar in color of his tunic. His eyes are a deep yellow. His hair is a russet color, and the bangs are always swept to the right toward the base of the right wing. The wings are large, coming from the sides of his head, and they are mostly yellow with orange tips. The small yellow wings on his ankles do work, but they are mostly useless by themselves.

Personality

Hermes is known for his mischief and commonly is joined by his half brother Dionysus in his various acts. In fact, the two gods tend to clash in brotherly competitions when left to their own devices. He rarely ever shows up in his true form around others unless it's either needed or he needs to be that form for specific roles. Hermes by himself is a jokester and likes to brag about past accomplishments, and while he mostly keeps to himself, he can't resist drama. He also likes to hold the fact that he helped raise Jasper, Dami, and Morris over them, mostly in jest, though he is secretly proud of how the three have grown.

History

Hermes has always been a mischief maker ever since he was born, sneaking out an stealing Apollo's scared cows shortly after he was born, and was subsequently brought to live on Olympus.  He was often known to help heroes and was always traveling as per his domain. He could also be found among his siblings, be it helping them with problems or to cause problems, hanging mostly around Apollo and Dionysus.

After the attack lunched on the gods of Olympus by the demons succeeded and discorperated most of the gods, weakening them enough for them to loss their chosen forms, Hermes was one of two gods to escape intact along with Dionysus, and spent much of the early days reforming the skies of the new world with Jasper and trying to hold the small group together. Once the new world was established, Hermes took up the role of the messenger for the area, delivering news and warnings to the residence. He also took up undercover missions spying on the demons before he was found out.

Relationships

Thanatos and Eros

He really just was always there for me, he taught me a lot, and I found myself drawn to him.
― Hermes about Thanatos

Hermes and Thanatos were always bound to work together due to both of them being psychopomps, and through this bond feelings started to form pretty early on. As predicted, these feeling grew and grew, but the real breaking point was when Eros got involved in pursuing Thanatos, much to Hermes's jealousy. This strain caused two spontaneous confessions to Thanatos, who convinced the two to compromise. Hermes was super stubborn at first, but would eventually come around to Eros and be able to enjoy both gods company

Dionysus

Dionysus holds a special position to Hermes, being his only younger brother, and Hermes would do anything to protect him. The two of them always seem to be on the same sometimes mischievous page, and work extremely well as a team. This would come in handy once the events of Coral Bay happen, and they are able to support eachother through the unthinkable while keeping the world around them spinning.

Trivia
