Profile

Bio

Sunshine, happiness, and slightly outdated music radiate from Nicky. He wants to be everyone’s friend. He also likes singing, so being an idol worked out pretty well for him! Besides that, he also works as the band’s lyricist, though that can be a little tough at times. Nicky doesn’t mind either way if the band gets famous or not, but he tries his hardest for his friends’ sake. His voice is said to be one of the best in Bakers’ Entertainment. That makes him glad, because he uses it for many things, like singing about things he likes, being the band’s spokesperson band, and trying to cheer up people. Nicky can sometimes be found hugging random objects, dancing by himself with no music, or peacefully rolling around on the floor. That’s Nicky’s way of life.

Voice Claim

Kazukiyo Nishikiori

Personality

No one truly understands Nicky, but he’s okay with that. All he wants them to know is that he loves them. However strange he may act in private, Nicky does put in quite the effort to remain socially presentable in front of the camera and people he doesn’t know very well, and he’s great at it. He’s known for his charm.  Nicky’s the kind of guy who’ll welcome anyone with open arms, unable to hurt even a fly. This makes his friends fiercely protective of him. He’s aware of the lengths they’ll go, and to be honest, it makes him uncomfortable. Nicky doesn’t do well around conflict. He hopes no one gets into a fight over him, or at all.

As "the heartthrob", he's not allowed to date, even though he's a hopeless romantic. It's okay, though! That just helps him write better love songs! Nicky loves being in front of an audience, and his goal is to put on a good show for them. He takes it pretty hard if he feels like he doesn't accomplish that. All in all, he’s thankful that life has been so kind to him, and wants to spread that kindness to others.

Backstory

Nicky grew up in a very musical household. His dad was a musician, his mom was a lyricist, and they taught both of their sons how to sing and play instruments. Nicky learned the guitar. Whenever Nicky's mom had to watch him, in order to make sure he wasn't doing something unsafe, she sat him beside her as she was writing song lyrics and taught him the magic of poetry. Years later, after his brother became a business manager at Bakers' Entertainment, Nicky's friend group wanted to start a band in hopes that Kenji would let them join. Kenji eventually went through with this (after their parents made him) and Adios was born. Later on, Nicky decided he was more interested in disco than rock 'n roll, and wanted to move on to do his own thing. He was scared of his friends' reactions, but they supported him. He ended up joining his friend Higgy and later Toni to form the band Hinito.

Relationships

Higgy - "I wish I was as put together as Higgy is." Nicky's always liked Higgy. He just seemed so cool and mature! Nicky didn't really know what to do at first when Higgy first started being super judgmental of others, as he too busy trying not to get called out, himself! After he calmed down, he was glad to help his friend give others a chance. Nicky found it nice to see Higgy had flaws of his own, and was honored that Higgy trusted him enough to help him overcome those. Even though they're drastically different in terms of personality, they still enjoy each other's company and trust. Higgy is the only person Nicky willingly allows near him when he's sad, since he knows Higgy won't pity him. Pity makes Nicky feel even worse.

Maxy - "He has the fluffy hair~" Nicky is in love with Maxy's hair. It reminds him of poofy clouds! Since Higgy and Toni are busy fighting with Maxy, Nicky takes it upon himself to make sure that he's actually okay. Because of this, Nicky's the first to know if Maxy isn't feeling well, so he'll give hints to the others lay off or tell them outright what's going on if Maxy approves. Maxy is a very entertaining friend, and Nicky is glad he likes him so much.

Toni - "He's nice and sweet!" Nicky thinks of Toni as a little brother. He knows he's weird, but Toni still looks up to him, and he thinks that's sweet. He admires how comfortable Toni is with being himself, and even though he'd probably never wear it himself, he also admires Toni's silly fashion. It's his own unique style! Nicky is usually the one who cheers up Toni when he's sad, because Higgy can be a bit... cold and Maxy's usually the one causing him to cry in the first place. Nicky encourages and supports Toni.

Kenji - "Sometimes I feel like he doesn't think much of me, but I guess he's trying to help." Nicky loves Kenji, but he feels like they aren't really that close. He mostly blames it on the age gap (though he and Benji are good friends!) Nicky notices that Kenji's stricter on him than any of the others, but tries to reason it as Kenji trying to fill in for their parents. After all, Nicky doesn't get to see them that often because of his job. Nicky looks up to his brother, and wishes that he thought Nicky was more capable. Nicky wonders if his brother would respect him more if he were more like Higgy, since he seems more like Kenji's brother than Nicky does. Nicky's not entirely sure how to feel about that, but it is what it is. He enjoys helping his brother out when he can, like taking care of his plants.

Benji - "Benji's a great guy!" Nicky enjoys hanging out with Benji and talking to him. He's like a jolly uncle! Nicky is one of the few people who can get his thoughts out before Benji talks over him. He can tell that Benji is really proud of him.

Tsuki - "She's fun to sing with!" Tsuki has a habit of busting out into song backstage, and whenever she does when Nicky's around, he joins in. They do duets together!

Headcanons/Trivia

  • "When Nicky was growing up and he needed to vent out any negative, positive, etc, etc emotions he would turn to poetry and song writing (and even singing to himself softly from time to time!) to let the emotions out! It wouldn’t matter where he wrote these things too, in the margin of a text book? A loose piece of paper? Maybe even a book you name it he probably would write stuff on it.
And maybe even he would sing or read these things (or even write songs and poetry for) to people to maybe cheer them up if they were feeling potentially down!" - @Mon-Cheri
