Name 秦 Qín
Race Dragon
Gender Male
Occupation Guardian of the Lotus Lake / Safe Keeper of the Pathways
Age ???

"This is my fate, my friend."

A dragon with no bonds. Qin was chosen to be sacrificed to the great gods.
A great honour they said.
As the markings of his heritage were seared off his body and replaced by a lotus emblazoned on his forehead.
They all knew a markless dragon was no dragon at all.
For they could no longer shift. Their souls sealed. And forever banished from the cycle of rebirth.
This would be his final life.

About

"It doesn't matter anymore."

His role is to be the Guardian of the Lotus Lake, also known as the Safe Keeper of the Pathways. Shackled to the lotus lake, Qin’s duty is to spend the remainder of his life guiding and defending the souls through the pathways to the afterlife.

[Sombre, Calm, Quiet]

A sombre individual, Qin lives—if one could call it living—listlessly. He does his duties without fail, leading those that still have ways to go while he remains behind. He defends when needed, protecting the souls from those that want to disrupt the cycle. Otherwise, Qin is bound to the lake where there is little to no life. He does not have many to interact with. The Others do not really talk to him, for he did not earn his position. He cannot be touched, but he can be shunned. So, shunned he is.

Quiet and calm, Qin doesn’t have much to say. But there also isn’t much to say when there is nothing to say. He visits the same rocks, passes by the same plants and observes the few creatures that sometimes manage to worm their way through. Though if one were to get to know him, they would find Qin had a rather interesting way of going about things and could have the most bizarre of thoughts at times. Perhaps he had once been bitter about his fate, but the feeling of despair had drowned everything else out. Because he knew why he was chosen. And he could say nothing to refute it. Now, there is simply acceptance. Afterall, who is he to question the gods. He’s simply another drop in the vast sea of souls.

Qin’s entire form is made up of water, then glamoured after his human form. His dragon form is lost to him until the need arises, but to access it would mean his last breath. He is allowed to wander a certain distance before his legs will begin to liquify, followed by his body and eventually his body will collapse into the ground, forcing his return to the lake. Useful for an instant return but that’s about it. He cannot get injured, nor really die as he has essentially become one with the lake.
