Bakeneko Powers 

For being decently common yokai, bakeneko have a diverse set of supernatural abilities, many of which Emi possess. 

Shapeshifting - Emi has two forms she can effortlessly shapeshift between. Her natural form is a pink and brown cat with an unusually long tail, an abnormality signifying that a cat either will become or has become a bakeneko. The humanoid, catgirl form she is usually seen as around school is actually a transformed state. Theoretically, she could transform into anything less than her current humanoid mass, 35 kg, but as she's never experimented much, she doesn't have the experience or expertise to maintain a different form. Spirit Flame - Through some unique magical abilities, Emi can summon blue ghostly fireballs. Even though they are fire, "dim" is an apt descriptor to them—they glow but it's very blue and not bright. Each, much like a wandering spirit, aimlessly float around Emi when she isn't controlling them, but when she puts in focus, she can direct them. The flames don't generally ignite objects they touch, even flammable objects, but they link directly to her thoughts and emotions and when they're fervent, her flames grow in intensity. At least when the fireballs are small, she can dispel them with a wave of her hand.

Misfortune - Surrounding bakeneko is an aura that brings bad luck to those within it. Misfortune accumulates and only has apparent effects if someone has been around Emi for at least months, but even those can be passed off as coincidence. Its effects can't be measured or proven, but it certainly exists, and this knowledge haunts Emi. If she wished, she could amplify this power to essentially curse someone, but Emi has never had this malicious idea.

Acquired Magic

Over time, Emi has accumulated various magic books and learned to cast various types of magic. In order obtained:

Healing - Emi and her friends are all reckless adventurers, so this magic is a godsend. Emi can use her magical energy to cause another's to quickly heal their wounds, from scratches to minor scars, bruises to sprains. She can even cure minor colds, coughs, and sore throats—illnesses one would consider more bothersome than dangerous. She can mend her own wounds but this is significantly more tiring than healing someone else's, so she can't do it much.

Light - Emi obtained this magic for one specific reason: because it's cool. She then found it had more applications than making pretty lights and awesome lasers, even if that is what she primarily uses it to make. She can create many small lights similar to sparkles and she uses this often when taking pictures of herself. She can change the color of the light at will, so she often matches it with her outfit. She can create flashlights or laser pointers, and of course, she can shoot laser beams. Finally, she can harness her inner anime.

Illusion -  With illusion magic, Emi can make it appear as if she is wearing a certain accessory or outfit. She can also coat her barriers with illusion magic to make them appear decorated or as if they're fictional objects, like a fancy shield. She obtained this with the sole purpose of assisting with her cosplay, but she has used it to play with or prank her friends, namely Zee. 

Barrier - Emi can create pieces of barrier in the shape of sheets, walls, spheres, boxes, and, with great focus, she can mold them into any shape she so desires. Aside from air, they are not permeable; nothing can pass through them, not even elemental attacks. After sustaining enough damage, they will break, but something to note is that maintaining them costs much less energy than originally creating them. Emi can move them after they've been created, and they can linger in the air. She can create capsules to safely carry something in, or a forcefield or shell around herself to push the outside world away.

Electric - [wip] Emi can produce electricity and, to a degree, control its path and shape. She got this magic purely because it's flashy.
