Dale is a happy-go-lucky friend to all, he's very personable and puts the McCrae charm to full use. He's an amazing cook, and growing up did a lot of cooking in his father's pub.

He branches out and makes another pub in Olympia, it's an extension of family business and all the earnings go toward both locations. He's just as, if not more friendly than his father, and though not nearly as intimidating as Chip or Red, most drunks won't fight for fear of being publicly embarrassed from getting their ass kicked by Dale. If you had to get your ass kicked, you really did something wrong, because Dale is slow to anger. 

He adores Chip to hell and back despite him being so abrasive and even insulting him on occasion.

He has twin sons, Oscar and Sheamus, who were hell raisers as kids.

He raises basset hounds alongside Murdoch, Morna, and Luther, hence his scars.
