Takashi, Nozomi, & Iroha's ex-boss. An old high school friend of the former two.

An accomplished engineer, responsible for heading several revolutionary mechanical projects such as [redacted], [redacted], and, you guessed it, [redacted]. Some of her tech was incorporated into Earth's very first portal gun, though she was not directly involved in its creation.

A driving concept throughout her body of work is the question of what exactly human emotions and experiences like empathy are, and how to artificially stimulate them or reproduce them outside the human body. Presently, she finds herself most fascinated by the concept of the human soul and how to manipulate it.

Officious and reticent, cold and distant. Unemotive. Always calculating... ultra-logical. Once upon a time she was more pleasant and outwardly expressive, though this demeanor has long since faded, at least on the outside.

Austere living doesn't bother her so much but some sunlight could do her good.

Appearance

Tall, even while slouching, as she often does when sitting. Frail and bony. Maroon eyes, intense eyebags, thin eyebrows, and a tall flat nose. Skin pale to an unhealthy degree. Thin, stringy, "whispy" grey hair in a medium-length low ponytail, with a single strand hanging down her forehead.

Wears pantsuits frequently, often with ties. Typically in shades of grey or red, the specific colors and styles change throughout the series.

Looks very tired and unhealthy, sometimes ghost-like.

Trivia

A main antagonist of Soulspace.

She's a natural brunette. Up until her departure from college and subsequent trek underground her hair was a color similar to her daughter's, but extreme stress and prolonged sunlight deprivation led to it graying out early.

Her birthday is February 11th.
