Lucifer is perhaps the most notable and frequently talked about demon among humankind, but few people actually know very much about her. The common whispers are of a former angel who was favored by the gods, until she attempted to overthrow them and become the universe's newest Creator. Lucifer is also often assumed to be male, and there are famous artworks throughout Gaelen's history that depict Lucifer in a man's body. In truth, however, she never had any interest in becoming the new Creator, although she was the one who started and led the angel rebellion throughout The First War. After being cast into the Abyssal Realm and becoming a demon for her insurgence, Lucifer - along with the five other progenitor demons - began creating new demons as a means of spitting in the face of the angels and the Sleeping Gods, thereby creating the demon race.

Lucifer was born as an angel from the 3rd Order, never growing more than two wings and thus being thrust into the lowest caste in angel society as a whole. However, she always excelled in everything that she did, and her power could rival that of even the strongest seraph. People began to whisper that she was favored by the Sleeping Gods, and before long, all of angel society had taken notice of her. However, due to her caste, she was never allowed to stand on equal ground with those of higher Orders. Over the years, she became frustrated with both the strict rules of her people and also their over-reliance on the Gods who had long since abandoned them; she knew that life was more than just trying to please neglectful parents, and she was the first to openly deviate from the traditions angels had built their entire lives upon.
She rallied a bunch of other angels behind her, including those who would eventually become her closest companions - Pytho, Beelzebub, Belias, Azrael, and Alastor - and headed the first ever rebellion as well as the first war in the history of the universe. Unfortunately, the rebellion ended in failure, and all who were a part of it were killed or cast down into the Abyssal Realm as punishment, where they would live out the rest of their lives in agony. However, after a few thousand years, the rebels - now the first demons - had harnessed the power of the Abyss and began to build up their numbers again, with Lucifer at their head. She is fiercely loyal to demonkind now, and although she still holds onto her former pride as an angel, she desires nothing more than to live the rest of her life freely and allow others to do the same.

- Lucifer sometimes creates demons the same way that angels are born- by pouring magic into an orphaned core. It is a practice that is generally frowned upon and difficult, but she has a fondness for these seradem and wishes for them to not forget their roots.
- She is incredibly proud of herself and doesn't take insults lightly.
- Well-versed in most weaponry, and loves practicing with new tools that humans create.
- Especially close to Pytho and Beelzebub, although all of the progenitor demons are like family to her.
