Belias is one of the six remaining progenitor demons, as well as perhaps one of the most well-known demons in humanity's history. While not much is known about him as a person, he is known and feared as being the Herald of Chaos, as he is said to imbue humans with disorder wherever he goes. He doesn't hate humanity, although he's not particularly fond of them- and in recent years, his distaste has been growing as Earth continues to gain believers in the Church of the Sleeping Gods. Belias sees this as an insult to the rebellion in Heaven and the First War, and his hatred for the Gods often sways his opinions. Although he is very standoffish and often argues with his friends and comrades, he harbors a deep loneliness that eats away at his soul. More than anything, he wishes that he could find an answer to the ache in his heart.

Belias was once a Throne in Heaven, and was often tasked with developing angel law. He was competent at creating the structure of their society, and a lot of the functioning roles within the caste system were built by him. That should be a testament to his genius, but as the years grew longer, Belias began to realize that what he had done was not free his kind, but enslave them instead. He grew disdainful of his job and his life, and disappeared from Heaven a few decades before the First War - the first angel to ever go so openly rogue.
Upon the rebellion's beginning, it was Lucifer who sought him out, hoping to find a kindred spirit who would understand that their society was wrong. Belias was reluctant to get involved, but the promise of making things right won him over, and he dedicated himself to the rebellion's cause. Never did he imagine what would happen if they lost, however, and as he was suffocating in the Abyssal Domain and living out his punishment for insurgence, he grew colder and more hateful towards angels and the Gods both. Upon growing active again, Belias expressed his bitter resolve to one day tear down all of angel society for good, even now that he had his freedom. He sometimes works with Beelzebub to transform willing humans into demons across the Terrestrial Plane, but isn't very passionate about doing so.

- Belias's connection to others has been uncertain at best for a long time now, but he is perhaps the only progenitor demon to have ever fallen in love with a human.
- He finds writing and puzzle-solving to be cathartic, and will often write whatever he's thinking in a journal as a way of calming himself down and organizing his thoughts.
- He is touch-starved and often flinches away from contact with another, but when eased into it, he finally manages to feel somewhat at ease.
- He thinks of disorder as a necessity for change, but also prefers the peace that order can bring. He finds great pleasure in watching others (especially angels) tear themselves free from regulation and follow their hearts.
