Profile

Personality:
The Puppeteer has an embarrassing lack of self control. He lacks any concept of personal responsibility, accountability and is generally careless in nature. He has a short temper, lashing out in fury if he doesn't get his way. He has a lack of understanding of how anything works and he doesn't care, he only cares for his own desires and ambitions. His entire life revolves around the purpose he was born to fulfil: control a puppet. The act of controlling another living being ("puppet") is a state of catharsis for him, he finds an endless amount of joy and amusement in this. The simple act of making puppets dance has kept him satisfied for years on end. The Puppeteer thinks very highly of himself, if his self images are challenged or criticized in any way he will take personal offense. He is very sensitive to criticism and if hurt, he will try and inflict the same emotional pain upon the person who criticized or insulted him in the first place.

Abilities and Capabilities:
The Puppeteer is a massive rotting man who is immortal in a sense. While he is rotting over time, his consciousness never leaves. Though he is extremely mutilated, he feels no pain related to the gaping holes within his body. He is susceptible to pain mostly in the facial region. The Puppeteer controls puppets using bright orange strings, of which he has a seemingly infinite supply. He can only control living things with nervous systems, meaning certain creatures (such as Tresn) who lack nervous systems are unaffected.

Story:
Early Life:
The Puppeteer was created from the mind of Spook Somnium. His earliest memory is also his favorite memory to reflect upon. It was a dark night in the reality of the young DreamleaperSpook Somnium, the young girl was alone and helpless, a perfect puppet for The Puppeteer to have endless fun with. He would attempt to take control over her using his bright orange strings, of which he had an infinite supply. The young Spook was small and nimble, he'd missed her with his strings by inches. He wouldn't see the girl again for many years. The Puppeteer had three puppets who he would control, of which he named Doofus, Smiles and Jester. Jester was by far his favorite puppet, for a few years he would remain in total happiness, puppeting in Spook's reality which had strangely begun to decay over time. Eventually and unexpectedly, he was attacked by a monster who was much smaller than he was in size. It would tear his puppets to shreds, of which The Puppeteer had grown extremely emotionally attached to. He would revolt with all of his might against the creature, who was somehow immune to the effects of his strings. Due to his advantage in size, The Puppeteer was still a formidable opponent to his foe. The Puppeteer would go as far as to grab a hold of the moon, (due to the logic of the Contingentplane, often moons and suns were much smaller and closer to the ground than in the Neutralplane) and fling it at his assailant. What the creature lacked in size, it made up for in speed. Over the course of the fight it would gather more and more of The Puppeteer's strings, eventually being able to subdue him, using his own weapon against him. The monster revealed itself to be named Tresn, who had been acting under the will of a woman named Cirem, the apparent mother of Spook Somnium. The Puppeteer was held as prisoner for some time, growing dreary and depressed at the lack of purpose and meaning in his life. He'd missed his puppets, their absence left a massive hole in his heart. Eventually he would be introduced to whom he would regard as his new best friend. It was Cirem's very own son, Corydon Somnium, who he would refer to as "Jester", after his favorite former puppet. The Puppeteer would be given his very own auditorium in the strange new reality owned by Cirem herself. Underground in the city of Los Remeia, The Puppeteer and Jester would remain for years. Cirem would eventually have cosmetic changes made to Jester, of which The Puppeteer loved. Jester much more resembled The Puppeteer himself, now sporting a matching outfit to his own! The Puppeteer's previous grudges against Cirem were fading away, though he would always despise Tresn with every fiber of his being. The two were always at odds, Cirem would constantly restrain Tresn from harming him. On one occasion, Tresn, The Puppeteer and Jester were suddenly attacked by a totem monster. During the struggle, it seemed as though it was only interested in killing Jester, a prospect that deeply frightened The Puppeteer. His strings were ineffective against the monster, it eventually escaped after Tresn failed to kill or contain it. The Puppeteer would tell Cirem of the encounter, she had been surprised to not have heard about it from Tresn himself.

Later Years (Pre Twisted Reality):
The Puppeteer never missed an opportunity to shoot a smug grin in Tresn's direction, knowing there was nothing Tresn could do to harm him. Eventually, he would be approached by Tresn who would ask him for a favor. Tresn planned to remove a threat to himself, Tresn apparently needed another moon torn out of another sky in the reality of someone named Cessa Somnium. The Puppeteer agreed to Tresn's plan, secretly planning to squash Tresn like a bug and escape. His plan would ultimately fail, only making Tresn despise him even further. Tresn would adopt a new method to torture and punishment for The Puppeteer. Every time he would wrong Tresn, Tresn would violently shove a pin into his face. During that specific occasion, Tresn would shove four pins into his brain. During another where The Puppeteer had mouthed off, Tresn shoved a pin into his jaw. On another occasion, between his eyes. Tresn claimed that if The Puppeteer would attempt to remove a pin, two more would take the removed pin's place.
