Lillia's Links
Despite the fact that Carvus seems to solve most of his problems by eating them whole, Lillia, who's got a strong stomach and a moral compass which appears to have been dropped and broken at some point, considers him to be surprisingly soft. Even she can sense that he has the best of intentions by hauling her into hunting lessons (despite how overwhelming the prospect is), but she's terrified that he'll discover her secret. Realistically, considering his general intelligence, she doesn't have to be.
Carvus trusts Lillia a bit more, knowing that he wants to protect her as much as he can. He can tell that something is off with the lancer, but he chooses to not question it (and also doesn't have the braincells to pay attention with that.) However, he is excited to bring her on hunting lessons and to see her raw strength, as he has seen on the battlefield.
Somehow, Lillia has ended up as Pandora's assistant. She has the vague sense that she's gotten in over her head, especially considering how Pandora's horse already seems on edge in her presence, but Lillia is too polite to refuse a request for help, so here we are.
Lillia's very capable, even if she doesn't flaunt it. Plus, she doesn't seem repulsed by her obsessions like the rest of the army, score! Strange as it is that Actin doesn't like her, Pandora will stick around Lillia for a while longer.
That Grayson knows her secret terrifies her, but at the same time, he's rapidly proven himself trustworthy. He's won her absolute loyalty, largely out of gratitude and well-earned reliability, but in small part because she's terrified a misstep on her part will lead to him and the others turning on her for what she is. Would die for, 10/10.
"She's pretty alright! I trust her... just gotta make sure she stays safe and people don't just... *turn on her*". Definitely knows her secret, but he knows that that isn't necessarily a bad thing, given her actions so far.
Will definitely speak up for when necessary.
The traveler's viewpoint of Lillia mainly stems from the performance -- after seeing her perform, they've quietly resolved to boost Lillia's self-esteem, seeing a lot of their past (if not current) self in her.
That said, they haven't connected the dots that Lillia, unlike them, probably doesn't have the same enthusiasm for the arts as they do...
Lillia respects Sybil very much and sees him as something of a source of authority, but she's also absolutely fucking terrified of him, both in that baseline way she's terrified of literally everybody, but also in a way where she doesn't know how to process being on the receiving end of any amount of concern except by devolving into rampant paranoia over keeping her secret. So that's fun!!! While she worries about his well-being, she's too much of a pushover to pursue it...
"Thank you for helping me, but...did you really have to lift me?" Sybil respects Lillia's strength, and appreciates her kindness. He also tries to warn her of taking care of herself, though he neglects to take this advice himself.
Lillia is sweet and shy and Meriwether would like to support her in getting out of her shell. It’s a bit difficult to do often though, given Kites’s reaction to her (a reaction that worries them a bit - but it’s Lillia, so what could possibly be the problem). A bit in awe that she still goes to the front lines as much as she does despite how fragile she can seem.
