Grayson's Links
"She's pretty alright! I trust her... just gotta make sure she stays safe and people don't just... *turn on her*". Definitely knows her secret, but he knows that that isn't necessarily a bad thing, given her actions so far.
Will definitely speak up for when necessary.
That Grayson knows her secret terrifies her, but at the same time, he's rapidly proven himself trustworthy. He's won her absolute loyalty, largely out of gratitude and well-earned reliability, but in small part because she's terrified a misstep on her part will lead to him and the others turning on her for what she is. Would die for, 10/10.
"Let's do this thing."
Grayson and Albus are both preparing for what they see as an inevitiability, as someone wants them gone.
"Oh hey, he's actually pretty okay!"
Albus and Grayson cleared up their misunderstanding and are now working together on spearheading the Initiative to a better place.
Grayson feels a bit of a kindred spirit in Carvus. There are times he wants to leave it all behind and just roam the wilds again. However, he knows that's not how to make things better. So among other things, he's keeping an eye on Carvus to make sure he settles into this little group.
After meeting Castor, Grayson instantly took a shine to him, mostly due to the similarities with his sibling. However, after spending some time with him and Sorrel, Grayson decided to also provide a sanctuary for Castor for the times he doesn't want to be 'the phantom' but just relax.
At first keeping Sorrel actively between him and Grayson out of the sheer inability to trust anyone, the meeting left such a positive impression that he's begun to lower his gaurd. And while the back of his head constantly tells him that 'Wolfie's only here for the info i have, nothing more', he's taken the steps to try and fight that reasoning back. Genuinely grateful for Grayson's efforts to provide him safety, despite knowing the risks that'll soon come by doing so.
Although he's always on alert around Pollux, having seen the antics she gets up to since he formed the Initiative, she also is one of the few people he just drops his guard around and stops pretending to be the leader of the rag-tag bunch of misfits they're a part of now. After hearing about her past over the time since they've been together, he's definitely taken some inspiration to take on a different task.
Having met Grayson at the outset of the Island Initiative's creation, Pollux has grown to know him for some time. And while at first her impressions on the Island were viewed purely from an informational standpoint, she's come to enjoy the small band of allies that Grayson has brought together.
Being one of the few on the island with a brain cell, she's more than happy to give Grayson a honest opinion whenever the wolf's unsure about his next plan of action. That said, Pollux also tries to make sure that Grayson isn't working too hard, and actively encourages him to take a break every now and then.
The relationship between Grayson and Sorrel is weird, since at times Grayson thinks of Sorrel as someone on his level, and at other times there's just this small internal feeling going "dad?". That being said, Grayson does think of Sorrel as a good friend and confidante, and someone to listen to when it comes to input on the Initiative's direction.
Sorrel first learned of Grayson indirectly through his letters to the Island, requesting them to deescalate events in Ysingmyr in order to avoid the church from getting to involved. Eventually, Grayson manages to make contact with Sorrel and, while at first unsure, quickly decides to put his trust into Grayson when he learns that he's been keeping an eye out for his daughter, Pollux.
Together, Sorrel's vowed to help Grayson out with whatever he needs, acting as a bit of an informant, especially when it regards Ysingmyr. He's also provided Grayson an ear whenever the wolf needs to discuss more sensitive topics, and keeps the matters between the two of them as long as Grayson desires it.
"Stay behind me, and we'll be fine." Grayson views Sybil more like a younger sibling than anything, in part due to the responsibilities and expectations coming from him. That being said, although he will engage in some innocent pranks on Sybil, Grayson will make sure that his friend is always in a good place on the Island, or elsewhere for that matter.
"We'll make it through this, I'm sure. We just need a plan." Sybil has a high regard for Grayson as the 'leader' of the Island Initiative: perhaps a bit too high. It's obvious that Grayson is made a bit uncomfortable by his lofty expectations, but for once, Sybil does not address the feelings hidden through willful ignorance.
