He and Raveneye were quite the daredevils as apprentices which resulted in the loss of his tail in an accident. This together with his underbite and many scars has left him quite self concious of his looks.

He's often on edge, easily irretable with a short fuse and a grumpy exterior and he's built up many walls to hide his doubs and insecurities. He's not very talkative and mostly communicate with glares and grunts.

He's very loving towards his family; those being his son Choughsneak, his grandchildren and his mate Carrioncall. He will do anything to protect them and quietly admires them all wholeheartedly.
About
Although he and a Raveneye share a lifetime of rivalry they're still close and share a mutual respect for each other. Rookfang has attempted to claim the leading position for Corvidclan countless times but has yet to succeed even once. Even if he surpasses Raveneye's strength he's bulkier, heavier and slow to react, not to mention his rival has far more exprience in all cathegories of fighting due to the age gap and Raveneye's many talents.
He doesn't mind the losses enough to listen and follow to his son's ideas of treason and unjust ways of winning. Rookfang still firmly believes in the warriors code and will always respect, trust and stay loyal to his cousin and leader as his fellow companion and deputy.
Truth be told; as much as he wishes for the leading position he finds comfort and admiration in Raveneye's leadership. He questions his own capabilities if he one day was to take said position and be responsible for the welfare of the entire clan and his family.
Relationships
He was completely indifferent to Crowsong all her life, he would never interfere when his son would bully her but would also never harm her neither verbally nor physically. If anything he would at times contemplate the morality of the actions taken against the small, odd kit; comparing her to his own child and grandchildren.
He still took Choughsneak's side at any given time; defending and praising him for his actions whilst boosting his confidence and ego. Carrioncall and Choughsneak both wished for Rookfang to claim the leader role and make his son his successor granting him full control of the Clan's future. The only deviating opinion between them being which way to do so as Rookfang would never dare to oppose his leader or stab him in the back.

They spend a lot of free time together training and hunting. They most commonly share comfortable silence, around Corvidclan hey're far more talkative and boastful; presenting intimidating professionality.
Carrioncall [ Mate ]
She's the far louder one and takes all action and decisions in the family. Rookfang is absolutely enamoured by her beauty and confidence and would go any lenghts to satisfy her wishes.
Onyxpelt [ Father ]
He has always wished to prove himself to his father, but the lack of approval and emotional gratification has left him feeling indifferent and even angry with him.
Raveneye [ Rival ]
They share a mutual respect for each other and have always been rivaling friends. Although their battles are fierce and dangerous they still share an unhostile bond.
