Occurs right after the events of When it All Comes Tumbling Down, after Lasair rescues Basileios from assured execution from Namarast. Secrets come to light in the worst way possible, and Lasair's inability to trust others over a lifetime of manipulation is thrown into her worst nightmare.
In which Cyrille spoils Daxton and they part their separate ways after Daxton heals from his wound.
