There is SOMETHING wrong with that human. Morfis? Hm... that land is promising... he thinks there may have been great Agarthans who hailed from those lands long ago. Magic is imbued into the land of that nation itself, no wonder they'd be compatible. Though this woman? Strange, annoying, he can't stand her.
...Sometimes he prefers the useless spewing from Otto than her disturbing sing song voice.
Wow...~ What a princely figure...~ He has so much personality, his arrogance reminds her of the most promising wizards in Morfis... though many of them turned to dark magic and were corrupted by greed. Haha~... but surely the same thing wouldn't happen to their beloved house leader, right...? His outbursts and lack of patience is quite endearing, she can't help but cup her cheeks and coo at him... though he often stares with owlishly wide eyes before screwing his face up and leaving quickly. He's much like an angry little puppy...!
YVEVA? She's alright, yeah! What a dreamy gal. She always looks like she's falling asleep, reminds her of that Jojee guy. When Yveva stares at you, it's hard to tell if she's in a daze or not and even listening to you at all. But boy is she a genius when it comes to magic. She didn't even KNOW magic could do that kind of stuff... she knows that a lot of guys can only make the big explosions happen since magic is hard to control, but Yveva seems to incorporate it into every little activity in her daily life. Can... can she even tie her shoelaces without it...?
Ah... the muscles of the Golden Deer house~. While the boys are quite ferocious themselves, none seem to equal the strength Delara puts in just using her bow...! Now imagine her with a martial weapon... what a sight that would be. Though she does recall Delara pummeling a bandit with her bow after she accidentally dropped her arrows down a ditch one time... wow~...
Hmmmmm...? What a curious poppet... he seems to speak with a cadence much older than himself... and he has very strange mannerisms, ones that remind her of the familiars sorcerers would obtain and keep during her stay in Morfis... Perhaps he's a whimsical fairy pretending to be a human boy...? Haha~... She's going to keep her eye on him~...
WOW! Talk about rugged! Hubba hubba swing that axe like that again!! Daphne likes to sit and watch him fight in the training arena without his wyvern like she does the other boys. Though his wyvern in PARTICULAR... she somewhat has a grudge. Every time they're in flying practice, his wyvern has this penchant for clutching her out of her saddle and carrying her around in the air. Don't get her wrong, she loves flying, but she'd much rather the safety of her PEGASUS. Please TAME your wyvern! This is so inappropriate!
W-What? Daphne? She's... she's far too over the top. At first she thought she was a nice and helpful woman, but she's crazy...! She doesn't know if she's far too interested in her heritage, the fact that she's an introvert, or that weird gleam in her eye when Mirka makes a clumsy mistake as she often does. All she knows is that when she sees her, she has to flee...! She must be laughing behind her back, oh heavens help her.
So, Sreng, was it? WOW, she's heard of those guys! Mirka doesn't really seem anything like the typical Sreng stereotype she's heard of, how cool! Her bandana is pretty, and the prayers before sparring and battle catch her eye. How fascinating... though, she seems to shy away from her! Oh no! Perhaps if she runs after her!! Come back here, you're not faster than Calia!
Too energetic for his tastes. She always makes a face and squeals whenever she has to spar, and personally, that's a bit much for him... though he realizes her value above the battlefield. It's not often he gets to talk about his homeland... particularly the small hamlet which he hails from, and their beliefs and practices. But when he talks, she listens very intently, and respects the topic immensely. She is a nice girl.
Wow, now that's a Duscuran! Though he's nothing like her mother... maybe he's from a different part of the country? Although she's aware that tribes were often separated by worshipping different deities as the primordial ones, she never gave it much thought... but looking at him, now she's so curious! Especially when he seems to have lived most of his life there... she almost wishes she knew what it was like.
Daphne brings such an endearing personality to Blue Lions. She’s sweet and kind and bubbly and Gawain finds himself smiling at her antics more often than not. She’s just so likable and her pink bubblegum hair makes it even easier to adore her. He finds great value in her ability to strategize from the skies and he occasionally invites her to join him while he’s strategizing by bribing her with a promise of tea and cookies so they can devise plans from both the land and skies!
Ahhhh~ the prince! So handsome!! Her heart flutters looking at him... she could droop off of Calia's saddle from staring too long. There's many, many handsome boys in her class, but his princely aura is something else! Maybe she's spent too much time reading romance novels, but she daydreams of falling into his arms! Ahaaa~ Yes she's paying attention in class, professor~!
That's his friend, Daphne. She's really nice, and likes to offer her food and help to others around her whenever they need it. Honestly, if she weren't so dedicated to strategy and excelling academically, she'd be right at home with those who work in the monastery. Though, she can be slightly... erm... offensive at times? It's borderline condescending, but he thinks she means well. His accent isn't babyish... nor cute, quit trying to correct him... everyone relatively likes her, but he's seen a few people make weird faces at her behavior.
Awwww~ Look at how petite his pegasus is! Clove is very cute! Parsnip, can she call you that~? He's definitely got a very different ideology when it comes to pegasus riding... while she was raised in a very formal and respectable home, this boy is as 'small town' as it gets. She loves it! The way he speaks is so funny!
...? He looks familiar... he feels familiar. Though his mind does not know him, the lens of the eye he sees with does. Vedas feels a violent repulsion to the idea of hurting him, one ingrained in his bones and not his thoughts. This troubles him, making him believe he would be failing his duties if ever faced in battle against this man...
Ah, General Vedas. ...What, you think he really cares about that puppet? He's such a bore, the only thing he's good for is getting things done. He's certainly different from other Agarthans, showing no personality at all... he's a wet blanket when it comes to his strategy meetings!! Laugh maniacally with the rest of us at LEAST?!
His leader. Anything he says, he does. The Prince has told him everything he needs to know about himself... that he isn't supposed to feel nor question anything, simply do as he's told. And yet... he feels this disgust towards him... like his full potential isn't being realized. Something about himself is being suppressed, and it's that slight unease that leads him to act out on the battlefield, behaving with more honor than expected of an Agarthan towards his foes.
Why does he care so much? Just pay attention to the other students... you have the Heir of the Empire in your class, yet you get on HIS case...? Whatever. And he keeps trying to ask him 'what's wrong' and spend time with him... he wouldn't get it. The only ones he's told the truth to is the headstones in the graveyard... they deserve to know the truth of what they were fighting for.
Such a shame... the very heir of the Aegir house, and... and... he's... he's like this!! So... careless and unkempt! Shave at the very least! When he placed his assessment on his desk, he practically crumpled it up with how uninterested he was. That's not even mentioning the time he just tore up his marked exam when the grade reflected his effort in learning. He's... obviously quite BRIGHT given his upbringing... perhaps he's deeply troubled by his future. Whenever he tries to pry though, Roland closes himself off, and nothing can get past his walls...
Professor Reichert is nice… he seems to have a lot of knowledge on the students albeit kinda surprised at the existence of some of them. He wants to do well in his class so he’s polite and pays attention despite his internal struggles, but the last thing he’d ever want is to confide in a teacher of all things.
Ahhh... this boy. He was also shocked to learn that his house had a son at all, but when he heard that he'd been staying in the Kingdom of Faerghus he supposed that made sense. There seems to be a very heavy burden on his shoulders, and rather than discuss it with the faculty, he deigns it necessary to train to a very intense degree... though, Reichert can't help but laugh when that boy from the Blue Lions house comes and throws himself on him, completely destroying his serious aura.
Hmmmm...~? Professor Rosin... oh, him. He's fine. Better than the other two professors, that's for sure. He has some taste, ornamenting himself nicely... if he didn't, she'd gag every time she had to enter the classroom. There's some less than stellar appearances in there, but with great effort in appearances from a few, it's a TOLERABLE level. She's not at all interested when he's teaching about combat or strategies, but when he began discussing magic she immediately rose her hand and asked if she could use it to apply her makeup or style her hair. What? It's important!
What a lovely singing voice! He'd visited the Mittelfrank Opera Company a few times in his youth, and recalls Lucetta's mother on the stage taking on the same role her daughter now occupies. She seems incredibly promising, and he has much to teach her. They both aren't exactly of the combat and warfare kind, and he has found himself dressing to impress her incredible fashion taste to try and alter his image... what is he, a teenager? She's just so daunting! She definitely put a few things in fashion when she first joined the Officer's Academy. So many female students were diving for small hip bags at the village vendors...
Professor Reichert is more suspicious than he realizes. He's caught him in his office looking through files seeking his family name. It drives ice through Kellen's veins to admit to himself that he has to get rid of him if he finds the truth... but there's no way. He just has to keep veiling the truth using smoke and mirrors throughout his studies...
What a curious student...? A Rhein boy? He's never heard of the Rhein family having a son, let alone one his age. But he must admit, he can't know EVERYTHING about the aristocracy in the Empire. A secret child, perhaps...? They seem to share a similar ailment of a persona slipping... though while Reichert's concern is containing his laughter and amusement, this student seems to hide something more sinister.
The professor doesn't seem to realize himself that much of his interest is directed towards the more noble students. If there's a name he recognizes, he's drawn to them... he wonders if he's into celebrity gossip? Daithí likes to keep a good eye on the people he's with, and Professor Reichert... he likes to dress like he's worth more than he is. Not that that's a bad thing...~
Wow, what a character! Honestly, he doesn't know if it's rude or not, but Daithí makes him laugh quite a bit... he seems to get on Iskra's case and often spends time around Lucetta and Zhang Tian. They're almost a nightmare trio, if he could say it. Combined, their influence over the other students is indisputable... unless you were Iskra, of course.
The professor? He kinda hovers over his shoulder a bit. BUT HE CAN'T BLAME HIM! He totally recognizes how amazing his crests are!! He really IS the most interesting student in the room!
A-ASIDE FROM THE HEIR TO THE EMPIRE!!!
He seems to struggle with his manners at the best of times, but he is surprisingly far more capable with magic than anyone else his age. He's never seen anything quite like it...! Casting that level of dark magic at such a young age? Maybe he should be concerned... do his parents know about this? If it starts affecting him, he won't hesitate to inform the Archbishop.
Doryu is super cool! He's like Valax's opposite, but they still get along really well. Valax gets to talk about all the dragon stuff he has to hold back around humans and he gets to hear about Doryu's life without other dragons. They have a vested interest in getting Doryu more information about dragonhood, so they begged Asterot to help out sometimes. Valax feels like they're pretty similar people, so they seek him out to chat often. They were excited to come to Garreg Mach to be around humans, but now they feel like their best friends are still dragons..
Doryu loves Valax! He gets along really well with him and enjoys babbling to him about class or gossip or fun things he’s learned. When Valax talks about dragon stuff it’s a lot easier for him to digest because he doesn’t need to respond like he knows what they’re talking about. And he likes talking about all the cool things he gets up to that Valax finds interesting. The way Valax talks about dragons gets him interested, so he appreciates when they relay information from Asterot to him in ways he can better understand. Doryu was excited to make more friends too… but suddenly he’s thrust with information he’s struggling to deal with. He’s a wah…?
Asterot is more curious about the young dragon than he lets on, so he was amenable to spending some time on the training field with him. It's interesting, seeing this dragon seemingly come out of nowhere and arrive at the school... Asterot is curious about Doryu's origins, but he won't pry. For now, he's fine with letting him spend time with Valax and enjoy the school. He's a lot more willing to field questions or help with training Doryu than most students. He's keeping an eye on his progress, though.
Doryu thinks Asterot is kinda intimidating. He seems familiar in a bit of an unsettling way but he can’t quite put his finger on it. When he’s alone on the training field with him he doesn’t really get any of his sword techniques or teachings. Him and Valax always talk of dragons but he can’t seem to answer any questions to their liking. He likes that Asterot doesn’t push it though and seems patient with him. Maybe he doesn’t answer Asterot’s questions the way he’d probably like but he does end up babbling about the new anklets he gets for his dancer uniform or the really cute bunny he saw the other day. Things will click for him eventually with Asterot’s patience.
Vanore believes Abaris to be a good friend of theirs. They're both practitioners of dark magic, and explorers of the hidden knowledge of abyss - They've worked together on little projects often, crafting and honing the spells that have fallen into the forbidden library. Vanore doesn't feel the need to keep up the facade of ever-helpful, ever-guiding authority around Abaris, which is a comfort. On the surface, Vanore spends all her time in hiding, meeting with others as a necessity only. In the Abyss, Vanore runs around completing tasks, teaching, distributing resources, and doing a hundred other chores to keep the underworld running. With Abaris, Vanore feels like they have the opportunity to be normal. It's... Fun.
Abaris enjoys Vanore’s company, cooped up in the forbidden library honing their spells and scrounging for more and more knowledge to pour over. Vanore is a quiet yet comfortable presence and he lets a ghost of a smile cross his face whenever he catches them hiding about in various places. He recognizes how much they do for the Abyss and he really appreciates it, bringing them mugs of tea in the library to share while they read and chat about the new things they learn. He doesn’t sleep much or very often, roaming around at night restlessly in his fits of insomnia… it’s kind of a relief and a bit of respite when he stumbles upon Vanore and can pass a few hours with them.
Great sparring partner. She uses her axe like no way he's ever seen before... nobody has ever toppled him within the first minute of combat except for her. It lights a fire in him and his eyes gleam whenever he spots her entering the training grounds. Though he was quite reserved and quiet around her... the first time he was defeated he actually laughed, like he was having fun.
Madan is respectable. It's nice to spend time with someone who proves their ability without needless chatter. Iskra would consider them to be close friends, despite not actually speaking much - the bond between warriors doesn't need any explanation. She's happy to fight alongside him or against him.
She's one of Valax's favorite people in the church! Valax loves to learn more traditional healing arts with her guidance, and it's fun to sit with her and be pampered for a while. She's so sweet, Valax makes excuses to spend time in the nurse's office. She's kind of like the mom they never had. Angeline knows a lot about things that Asterot doesn't care about, like magic, Fodlan, and natural healing. Valax feels like they get a balanced view by studying with her.
This little pet! Look at them! When was the last time they had eaten? ...Oh, a stomach ache? Come, come, lay in the bed... perhaps you'd like to read one of her favorite book series while you rest. She adores little Valax and fights the urge to twirl their hair for them. Her motherly instincts are on overdrive seeing this silly little teacup walk through the door...
MY MAN!! Nowhere NEAR as good as archery as her, but heh, he's good enough. Great buddy, the kind you can rely on. Whenever she suggests something he's ALWAYS there to do it. Yeah she smacks his ass on the way out of the classroom and has tossed a chair at his head, but he deserves it for being so tall, ya'know?
Delara? Ha! She's his favorite classmate. He'll still be swearing he's a better archer than her in his grave, but he has a lot of respect for her power and talent. He usually finds himself drifting towards her during their free time, knowing she's always got something interesting to do. May that be a spar, arm wrestle, a talk about their... strange house leader... she's ALWAYS a good time.
