BRIIIII~ she's so cute! Honestly, she's short like an oompa-loompa but she's just a little mom! Imagine the kind of grandma she's going to be one day...! She bakes people cookies unprompted, helps her fix her hair and laces up, remind her about homework blah blah you get it. Plus she's got the voice of an angel. If boys aren't lining up to throw themselves at her they're actually like, blind.
Cosy~ She's a very good friend. Brielle finds it hard to speak up about certain things that bother her, but Cosette quickly butts herself in to be her voice. She can't help wanting to dote on Cosette, the girl's kind of a mess. Brielle honestly has never had a friend as close to her, all of her past 'best friends' seemingly just using her kindness for granted. It left her deeply insecure for a long time, and maybe even still, thinking Cosy might find someone better... but she keeps proving her wrong.
Is there anything to talk about with this guy? He's just weird. Way too quiet, and whenever she says something in class he's gotta butt in and make her look stupid. Jerk! Just a jerk!!
...? Loud, rude, honestly he has no idea what makes her so endearing to everyone. Sure, she's pretty, but looks are rather superficial...
Ahh, Dragonfruit is such a sweetheart *and* such a scamp. As a younger coworker, of course I allow her to have her fun and enjoy herself. She's always got somewhere to be, some second job to run off to. I hope she gets enough time to herself and enough to eat...
In any case, she's a pleasure to have around the office. Sometimes she seems to make up excuses to bring me along to festivals and the like. I suppose it's because she wants an official approval to let loose...? I'll accompany her if needed, of course.
Wahhh, Rosella is so lovable. She's not the loudest person in the office, but she has a quiet sweetness to her that never annoys me, even after the longest days. We don't talk much outside of work, but I hope everything works out for her. It's... not really my business, but I'd like to find a way to ease her load to spend more time with her child... Maybe I could rearrange the work to take on a little more responsibility...?
Tourmaline was always more familiar with the doctor. I don't seek him out beyond visits... Not to say that I'm uncomfortable with him. I appreciate his efforts for us. It's less a problem with the doctor, and more a problem with my shyness. Perhaps we'll speak further in the future..?
What, you want to know how I feel? He's my roommate, that should paint enough of a picture.
...Sigh, fine.
I guess he inspires me. I like to keep little pieces of him on my person to help me keep a clear mind. I'm prone to getting quite stressed out and... have rather... unhealthy mechanisms in which I settle myself... but I guess Starling's been a pair of bright eyes on my conscience. I feel... better around him. Like a better person. If I could just see the world through his eyes, tinted with hope and... naivete, I guess, I think I'd be a happier man. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm satisfied just to rely on his presence.
However, when he first noticed the embroidered star on my scarf, I was so embarrassed I ran away and didn't come back for two days. I felt bad, so... I bought him fudge on my way back.
Though I often felt out of place among other students, I always felt better at home. Stemmy really understood my work in a way few others did back then, so I ended up giving him a bunch of paintings over our time living together. I wonder if he still has them...? At one point, I was sure we were going to work together for ages. We talked about putting my paintings in some nice house he made on the lake... It's a shame, really. I'm trying to be reasonable about everything. It's nobody's fault, what happened to me. I still miss him. And everything else from the Rose Court, obviously! Not just him!!
Qingyue is always happy to see Reichert. Honestly, even among the people who listen to his lectures, Reichert seems like the only one who is actually interested in the content... Qingyue is usually a bit of a wreck around the residents of Garreg Mach, but he doesn't feel quite as nervous around Reichert. Reichert's laugh is so charming, Qingyue barely cares if he hears it because of his own embarrassing stories. They often take tea together, which Qingyue always enjoys - There's only one issue. Qingyue is constantly overthinking every interaction they have once it's finished... Is this rare, handmade gift commissioned from an artisan... Friendly...? Is it normal for your fellow staff member to blow off students to have tea with you?? Sothis, do the people of Fodlan invite people to go dancing platonically??? Really, it's tortuous! But at the same time, Reichert is definitely his best friend either way! No matter what, Qingyue should stick with it and act as casual as possible. Just... act... casual...
Bai Qingyue, yes, yes! What a wonderful friend, one he'd always love to keep close. He felt guilty at first- befriending him for the fact that he is so fascinated by the land he originates from- but now he's grateful for his initial selfishness. He has... a delicate soul. Qingyue is often very receptive to other peoples' opinions on him and his work, and when he smiled the first time in their private discussions... well... how could he not keep coming back? Don't worry students, he's not sharing any secret strategies with the other house leaders... perhaps he should be a little more introspective and become aware of just how often he'd spend their tea-times, elbow on the table, hand propping up his cheek and a lidded smile listening to him for tens of minutes. Things he says, of course, make him laugh... but the sound of his voice, well... ah. Ahem. Y-yes, a lovely friend, indeed.
Veritas should be the last type of person a guy like Bardiche would ever befriend let alone get along with. Their interests clash, their personalities are on opposite spectrums, and their compatibility seems low, which makes their friendship unlikely… AND YET??? Against all odds, something kindled. Bardiche’s dislike for reading kept him far far away from the library but once Vera caught wind of his dislike he had lost the battle before it even started. Bardiche became invested in the action comic books Vera would ship in and meanwhile he worked his own interests into Vera’s everyday ensemble. He finds himself reading by his forge more often than he’d like and stopping by the library much more frequently despite his loud presence being quite unwelcome in a library. Vera’s just pretty what can he say?? (It’s totally not for the books…)
Even though they seem like an odd pair, Vera enjoys his time with Bardiche. Initially, Vera felt compelled to find the perfect book to convince him that reading was a worthwhile pastime. Now, he makes sure to include all of Bardiche's favorites in his book orders. Studious library visitors might notice the quickly growing comics-themed corner, set up with one of the comfiest seats in the library. Sometimes, Vera finds himself lingering near the corner when the library is closed, considering the day he's had. Even though Bardiche is crass, a prankster, and hassles Vera on his (lack of) combat ability, Vera finds his presence a little comforting. The library does seem quieter when he's away...
Cute boy! He's interesting~ not very princely at all, though... which is fine by her, she doesn't think she could HANDLE too charming prince types in her class! They share a lot of the same energy however, and she thinks she is quite effective at directing him in battle. Does he... only think with his axe...? Luci!! Pay attention in class, okay!! You don't carry the 2 there!
Reichert is a wonderful teacher! He seems incredibly capable, so Eric is happy to follow any instruction and finish assignments for him. Somehow, he gets the feeling that Reichert has... Hidden depth? Something else? He seems a little different when he's in the classroom versus when Eric sees him at the training ground... Weird...
Ah, the heir and Crown Prince of the Empire! What a perfect student. He is delightfully kind and incredibly respectful towards others, though he's noticed... he is quite naïve. Reichert wouldn't dare laugh at the thought of any of Ermanaric's mishaps, and instead his compassion for the boy takes over. He must be well guarded and doted on in his life, but... perhaps it is a teacher's guidance that he needs most? Reichert would lay his life down for him, fiercely loyal to the Hresvelg family, and will aid him in anything he needs most.
T...though he shan't do too much, lest he be seen as a BUTLER.
He's such a hassle to deal with... What fork to use here, what introduction is appropriate for which guest, and a hundred other insipid little noble rules. Iskra faced enough of this at home... If she can get away with pretending it's some foreign custom, then of course she'll keep acting the way she does. She respects his tactical knowledge, though. Strategy is a worthwhile pursuit.
Goodness! The princess of Brigid herself... he's heard of her engagement to the Empire's very own heir, how astonishing... the things that go on in the upper echelons of aristocracy, it's like staring at the blinding white peak of a domineering mountain... he can't even imagine what happens there. He hesitates to comment on her personality with fears of being offensive... perhaps it is expected of a princess of Brigid to be so cold and reserved? Even still, as the future Empress, he IS obligated to give her lessons on manners. Sorry, your highness, do not think badly of him for this...!
Don't worry teacher, I'll prove I'm the strongest!!!!!!!!!! Believe in your coolest student!!
Wahhh, what a kid! She honestly makes him feel like he's much older than he IS... come on, he's not even thirty, don't look at him like that. Just a total handful. Though he must admit... the shenanigans she causes... whether in class or on the battlefield... ah... he should start paying her for her performances, the moment he's by his lonesome, he laughs so hard. Honestly, what factors in life must be met to create a person like that...?
Vedas is one of the people Arete, ahem, leveraged to achieve her current position. Thought they don't often speak on account of the vast gap between their statuses, Arete has enjoyed the scant few moments she's spent with the man. He kind of reminds her of her human charges, in some ways... Something forced about the guy. It's not her business, obviously, but it is interesting... A little knowledge to keep in the back of her mind.
Agent. At Garreg Mach Monastery. She must know more than him about Those Who Slither in the Dark despite his clear rank above her. He supposes it can't be helped. Though it might be beneficial to... convene... and understand his objectives in a way the Prince and his other Generals would not clarify.
Aritene!!!! Ahhhh he's so cute too! Lovely hair, lovely smile, his gods must dazzle through his eyes! She loves skipping along to catch up with him after classes and scooting to sit with him at lunch. Madan is quite reluctant to speak and it takes some time to worm information out of him, but Aritene is so wonderfully open about his heritage! Daphne was raised a complete Fodlanite, so whenever she hears him speak... it feels like a missing piece is returning to her, just for a short while!
A fellow student of the School of Magic...! Though she only attended two semesters there as an exchange program with her college in Morfis, she truly enjoyed the different atmosphere... so much colder, and a lot less whimsical... it appears that those from Faerghus see magic as a tool for war rather than a gift... but Aritene maintains this kind and wholesome approach to life regardless. He's also quite beautiful, and she found herself staring his way in classes more often than not... though she has no interest in pursuing. Artwork should be appreciated and viewed, not disturbed... and when he casts his magic... there is no better view in all of Fodlan~...
