BSP Kids
All the Bungou Stray Pups kids will be in their individual folders here. They're separated in these folders by what group they primarily ally with within the storyline of BSP, and the individual groups will be explained within each folder.
The Gunslinger Kids (ガンスリンガーキッズ "Gansuringākizzu") is the name given to the group founded by the original “Hateful Eight” in order to solve what was initially a single string of violent murders in and around their school in Yokohama, unrelated to any activity to either the ADA or the Port Mafia. Upon realizing they worked well together, they made their group permanent. They generally focus on cases which either involve a paranormal or supernatural element, or serial killer cases not actively being pursued, and sometimes, both.
This folder, for the sake of ease, only includes the founding members of TGK. The rest of their members are marked with a "☄" in their name when applicable, however you should check everyone's profiles for up-to-date information.
The Cats from Hell (地獄の猫 "Jigoku no neko") is the name given to the assassination-only sub-group of the Port Mafia, led specifically by Fumiko Dazai, and also formed by her after her promotion to Caporegime by the current Don, Ougai [Mori] Fukuzawa. All nine were trained by Paul Verlaine after all but the first two (Fumiko and Nobunori, whom he chose to mentor independently at first) were referred to him by Fumiko herself. There have only ever been nine members and there will only ever be nine members; they are the most elite group of assassins working currently under the Port Mafia, who exclusively specialize in only assassination. Unbeknownst to her, Ougai's reasons for giving Fumiko the right to create her own group came largely from a desire to see how she would perform as a true leader, stemming from his own consideration of her as a possible successor for him, due to his refusal to pass the title to a member of his own family, and also all of the other candidates either having already rejected him, or not showing the traits he wished for in a successor. It is due to these disappointments that Fumiko herself is even still unaware that Ougai has ever considered her as a successor, or that she is his current pick, despite her young age.
Fumiko herself is a founder of The Gunslinger Kids and is listed with them, but the rest of her "Cats" as they are referred to, are listed here.
The Apprentices of the Armed Detective Agency (武装探偵事務所の見習い “Busō tantei jimusho no minarai”), otherwise known as the Double-ADA (ダブルADA “Daburu eida”), is essentially a “junior” division of the normal ADA. As more of the ADA’s members started families — and as many of those families involved at least one parent who worked for the ADA, and one parent who worked for the Port Mafia — they realized that in order to keep the balance, there needed to be a group dedicated to “hiring” and training youngsters. This division was also partially created with the intention of being used to allow Yukichi Fukuzawa’s “All Men Are Equal” to effect and help control any child’s ability they were struggling with.
Members within the folder are only those who do not also have affiliation to any other group, but the members list here includes all members.
Guild Undead (ギルドアンデッド “Girudoandeddo”) is the name chosen by their organizer, Zelda Fitzgerald, Jr., meant to be a parody of the band called Hollywood Undead (which is partially homage to the home country of most of the Revived’s parents (the Revived being what members of Guild Undead call themselves and are called in turn by others who know them and their organization). It is a far less serious organization than the one their parents founded, however, and rather than serving as an antagonistic force, they largely serve as support for The Gunslinger Kids. While they do not tend to get involved in criminal businesses due to their lack of guaranteed safety from other members of the Port Mafia, this is not to say they are not close with some of them, especially with the Cats from Hell due to the mutual attraction shared between Zelda Jr. and Fumiko Dazai. After a certain point, Guild Undead essentially merges with the ADA/Double-ADA, becoming a separate “branch” which deals mostly with foreign affairs and budgetary concerns.
All of their members are listed within this folder, regardless of any other affiliation they may have.
The Peacetime Committee (平時委員会 “Heiji iinkai”) is a smaller sub-branch of Guild Undead which is formed not long after all of the former Guild members return to Yokohama to allow their children to attend the International Academy for Gifted Students (IAGS), and is primarily formed due to the volatile history between the former Guild, the Port Mafia, and the Armed Detective Agency. Notably, it is headed by a few members of the former Guild; namely, ones who did not participate in The Guild War (Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, William Howard Armstrong, Langston Hughes, E.E. Cummings, and James Herriot), save for Louisa May Alcott, who was included due to her temperament and fairness regarding the situation, and Herman Melville, who had little choice in participating in the Guild War and seeks to rectify his past actions. The rest of the members are all second-generation Guild members, who do not also belong to Guild Undead. Their main goal is to maintain peace between organizations who may have, at one point, opposed each other, though this goal extends to any potentially dangerous differences between any two groups of gifted ability users who fall outside of the reach of the original Three-Party Framework, like the Guild itself previously did. In doing so, they pose a vital role in maintaining overall peace in Yokohama.
The Junior Training Division (ジュニア研修課 “Junia kenshū-ka”) is the name given to the division of the Port Mafia designed specifically to train the younger and/or more inexperienced recruits to the organization in their ways, with the level of training being different according to the individual trainee’s skills and skill level. Trainees are considered slightly above trained low-ranking members of the Port Mafia, though this is only because they lack training currently, and they are only viewed this way in terms of importance (as in, they still have potential to not be low-ranking members once trained). Most of them are young, however, and are rarely sent on missions where death is expected or anticipated, or intended. Those who do the training are also listed here, though many are in their own groups as well apart from this. Trainees must be at least 14, though there is no set age for “graduation” after they’re considered fully trained, and there is no set age for Teachers, with their only requirement being that they themselves are fully trained.
The Hawks (ホークス “Hōkusu”) is the name given to the select group of youngsters whose primary job within the ADA is to scout potential new recruits, as well as follow up on leads about potential new recruits or simply those in need of the ADA’s help. While there is no official leader of this group, older members generally will have at least one or two younger ones under their guidance, referred to as Fledgelings. Aside from this special role, members of the Hawks also function as regular members of the ADA.
The Messenger Club (メッセンジャークラブ “Messenjākurabu”) is a tight-knit, organized group of young people, typically between the ages of at least 11 or older for actual Carriers, or 15 and older for Guardians (it is possible, upon turning 15, to be both a Carrier and a Guardian), most of whom have at least one parent in the Detective Agency and one in the Port Mafia, whose job it is to encode sensitive messages in a specific, special code which is unique to each member of the Club and up to them to create, and then deliver those messages safely to their intended recipient. They are protected by both the Detective Agency and Port Mafia, and therefore, no harm is allowed to come to them by anyone without very swift and serious retaliation from either or both sides. That said, all Messengers travel in groups of at least three when out on a job, especially when their job deals with information too sensitive to even be written down and thus must be memorized by those assigned to it. Some of their members do also belong to the Detective Agency or Port Mafia, but as long as they are on a job for the Club, their other allegiances are unimportant.
