This has been a long time coming-- I've finally given Ira and Theo full Toyhouse profiles, revealing a lot more about them. Their truncated profiles had frustrated me since I first posted them, but, well, there were a lot of reasons I was keeping their secrets at the time. I'm excited to share their full selves with everyone now, because these two and their story are some of the nearest and dearest to my heart.

Alright so back to spoiler town:

Ira's a very personal character to me because-- I mentioned this in a previous bulletin, but like me, he's bipolar. His profile was torturous to write because I worry so much about doing him justice and not making anything sound like a stereotype... but, well, he's written from personal experience. There's a thread on my Catband twitter here all about that.

Obviously the other big revelation is that Ira and Theo eventually become a couple. They don't actually figure it out until late in the comic, but yes, those doofuses are in love with each other and it's taking them over a decade to put two and two (lips?) together. There's a post on my Patreon here with the text of the pages in the original comic from when they figured it out, if anyone's interested! Contributions of $1 or more a month get access to much more in-depth blog posts with otherwise unreleased Catband content than what I post on my twitter.

Like Roadie and Haggis, their relationship is technically a story spoiler, but look...... they're cute and I wanted to be able to post art of them being cute publically..........................

And like Ira's bipolar, the whole "accidentally kinda dating your best friend for actual human Years before you two figure out that you're in love with each other and can be Best Friends Who Smooch" thing was also something unintentionally written from experience. Oops.

I'd been meaning to get around to this for a while, but I finally did it: every character who has literature written about them now has an alert banner at the bottom of their profile with a link to their library, so you can tell that they do! Here's Amber as an example.

You should support Waltz's suggestion on the suggestion boards if you think there should be an official feature on Toyhouse to make it visible on characters' profiles when they have lit! :0

There's also no way to sort characters by most lit yet, so I made a tag for all my characters who have literature here (which also makes it obvious which characters don't yet... hmmmmm. Any characters you guys want to see me write about? Anyone spoilery I probably can't write about yet, like the Wild Dogs, but I'm open to all suggestions!).

(As a side note, I'm slowly working on getting five more new profiles up, after redoing Carrots' yesterday. Some of these are among the more important characters in the story! I'm finally up to the ones whose bios actually get into the plot of the comic. If you're up for hearing me ramble about this stuff, I do that a lot on the Catband twitter account.)

And it's daylight savings day so I get 25 hours of it, wahahaha

I keep forgetting to post this and I keep racking up more updates the longer I don't, so I may as well post it now, while NYCC is conveniently about to distract me from OC stuff for the next few days. I started updating some little things on my TH recently, and it snowballed into a lot of little things, so here's a list:

1. I made a tag guide/short list for some of the more useful tags and ways to sort my characters.*
2. Clicking on my character tab now navigates to a top-level folder that shows the tag guide and the Catband and Other Characters folders, instead of "All Characters"... because there really isn't a scenario in which "Bagel", Abomatron, and Airassen are any kind of useful first impression of my characters.
3. The Zanzibar Zebras folder is all spruced up with a guide to the minicomics those characters are from.
4. The Root League Baseball folder has an actual description of what it is now.
5. Many folders generally have better descriptions now; also rearranged some and gave some more dignified names (rip Teen Shame Dungeon and WOLF MULLETS) just so things are more consistent and easily navigable.
6. I gave up on flagging all of them as updated after a while, but I gave coded profiles and full descriptions to nearly all characters in the Other Characters folders (and also the Fast Food Mascots folder). That's almost all my characters now; these are the only exceptions (spoilery or WIP characters, and a few ???).
7. It's still not perfect and I'll probably overhaul more things later, but my character profile layout will display a little better on mobile now.
8. Every character with a coded profile now has Font Awesome icons that match them in their nameplate. (They used to all be stars; now Kliph gets a rocketship, Theo gets a bowtie, Jeremy gets a skull, etc.)
9. Re-worded my profile a little. Nothing much different; it's just a bit cleaner. (Don't worry, SWARM is still being praised in my heart.)
10. For art reference, handedness and dress style have been added to the appearance section of the rest of the Catband characters with coded profiles; previously only those with major profiles had those written in. (There are 52 righties, 20 lefties, and 2 ambidextrous! l e f t y  p o w e r)
11. Added songs to a few characters. Everyone who has the sort of profile with a Tunes section now has at least one song listed. Went through everyone's Youtube links and fixed all links that had become broken, which was a bunch.
12. Some of them are temporary sketchy things just so I don't have to look at whatever their icons were before, but I updated some character icons. With Teillana and Airassen getting new art, now all my characters' icons were at least drawn in the same decade...
13. Other small updates (added some sexual orientations, changed some tags, rewrote some profiles, etc.).
14. This isn't that recent but I posted all the characters from Rick's World a while back. Sorry/you're welcome for the flood of art and Quality Ideas from elementary school   
15. Fred and Manda have profiles now!

We had to put my cat Cookie to sleep today (this fella). I'm kind of out of words at this point, but he was a good boy. He was such a good boy. He was 19 years old, and for a while, it seemed like he would live forever. I could never describe him as a tough cat, but he had the will to live of Rasputin. I don't know how many lives he was given, but it was certainly many more than nine. He fought his body until the end, but no matter how many battles you win, there comes a time when you lose the war.

I'll miss you, little beast.

I just wanted to say thank you to anyone who wished him well, liked his Toyhouse profile, drew him for Artfight, and everyone who ever loved him. He was so loved by so many people in his 19 years, and he would have loved you too.

This is also a heads-up in case I'm not around so much for a bit. If you have an issue with one of my forum games, send me a message and I'll see it.

I'm also sorry to the few people I still owe Artfight revenges to. I didn't forget you and I'm working on them, but as you can imagine things have been stressful for a while.
