Your character turns around, and sees a group of rats disappear behind a building. Intrigued, your character follows them… Surprise! A huge ratking suddenly appears, frenzied. The entangled rats seem to have been exposed to some kind of magic—an iridescent substance shimmers around their mouths, and some of the rats have extra eyes and legs.

A moment later, a large horde of rats rush past, a huge ratking in their midst. The entangled rats look kind of sick and weird, and are definitely too big to be normal rats. Their eyes glimmer with an otherworldly shine.
What do they do?

The rat king walks off towards the edge of town, where a river runs past. Your character watches as it digs up a buried stash of potions, and eagerly drinks a few. For a moment, it seems like the rat king gains new energy, but then it shudders and falls to the ground.
Your character steps closer as the smaller, normal rats scatter in all directions. The rat king seems to be dead, probably from drinking all kinds of potions that should not be mixed together.
