As in, things you often see in designs a lot that you don't like yourself. Like trends.
I wondered this as I'm not a fan of colored teeth and bones yet I love colorful blood and whatnot. Yet people are making colored teeth/bones a popular thing now? (Seeing, say, blue-colored teeth, for example, looks...kinda wrong to me?)
The only rule is that you aren't allowed to attack people and such because they don't like something you like and vice versa. Be kind and civil.
Also, species don't count. This is about things like a kind of marking and the like.
After reading some of these, I realized I have more white characters than I thought....LOL I guess I never really thought about it
idk, but the "cute" characters with a bunch of frills and cluttered clothing never really appealed to me :^( I can't really find a way to connect with them I guess?
-I've also seen some characters with surgical masks not a big fan of those either
i feel like i keep finding a specific color palette being used over and over again, on the same kinds of designs. its this icy blue color as the body, with cream-white details and a dark brown (almost black) pattern. nothing against characters that use it, it's just that its not my cup o tea
Extremely detailed designs. Like details are nice but if theres so much that drawing them is a chore rather than fun, Its not my cup of tea.
i feel the same way about darker colored underbellies
if im making a character and i do this, i tend to change it to a lighter color bc i dont like it being darker
i wonder if nature is like this (lighter underbellies) or if theres some reason for not liking it bc i have no idea why i dont like it
I hate palettes whose main colors are some kind of natural color (like nude pink or brown) combined with a more unnatural color, even moreso if it's more neon. I see this most often in furry designs and I'm just like???? no
I dislike hypersexualized characters clearly made just because of the creator's thirst, male or female, because while you're free to make whatever OCs you like it feels uncomfortable to look at those characters at some point
and uuuhhhh what else.... I don't like that "floofy long hair" kind of look that some people like to put on their male characters, and it doesn't help that these are the kind of characters that normally get infantilized, at least from what I've seen.
I'm generally super chill when it comes to most designs, but the one thing that really bothers me is an anthro character with human hands, lips and feet. Like,, it's basically leading the OC into the uncanny valley and looking at it is so weird imo. I don't mind an anthro being plantigrade, but when you add the human toes and fingers,, shudders
I personally think that having anthro ocs with more humanoid hands is fine as long as it isn't super detailed... like if you looked closely at the character they woul still have pawpads n stuff but like, otherwise? ick
(some examples are this gal, she does have more humanoid features but if you were to animate her you definitely wouldn't give her detailed places like that. she honestly looks more like a Mario character or something)

Okay so I know a lot of people said this, but object heads?? I dunno. It just limits the expressions you can pull off and stuff. I also really dislike it when people tell me to draw super easy characters. I dunno, it just for some reason feels like they don’t trust me to draw their complicated characters, even though I know they’re trying to spare me for the most part, haha! I love complicates characters so much. Another thing that annoys me is when people use png images on their characters if there’s a more complicates aesthetic design?? Like on my character, Skye, a lot of people just clip on a png without even bothering to edit it, and that seems weird to me for some reason
