As in, things you often see in designs a lot that you don't like yourself. Like trends.

I wondered this as I'm not a fan of colored teeth and bones yet I love colorful blood and whatnot. Yet people are making colored teeth/bones a popular thing now? (Seeing, say, blue-colored teeth, for example, looks...kinda wrong to me?)

The only rule is that you aren't allowed to attack people and such because they don't like something you like and vice versa. Be kind and civil.
Also, species don't count. This is about things like a kind of marking and the like.

I just don't understand object heads? I've seen one that was pretty cool, but beyond that one I just don't really understand or like them very often. It doesn't help that the vast majority just seem to be television heads.

I actually like the strange coloured teeth, but only on ferals. The moment an anthro or humanoid have strange coloured teeth I just find it a bit odd. More than that though, odd-coloured blood, like a neon green, is really weird.

"Cute", frilly, pastel characters aren't bad by any means, but they really aren't the type of character I can ever find a use for.

"Psychotic, murderous doctor" characters... you know, those pink and frilly characters with a surgical mask who are often seen splattered in blood? I really don't like those.

Extra eyes beyond 4-6, or odd numbered eyes for some reason make me uncomfortable. (i.e. 2, 4, 6 are fine but anything else, 1, 9, ect, make me oddly uncomfortable)

I don't understand why it is so common for adoptable artists to 'cut the arms/legs/etc' off of a character and expose some sort of brightly colored flesh/blood/bone. I am cool with brightly colored gums, tongues, and all that sort of stuff, but seeing a design with it's arms/legs/etc cut off has always turned me off of the design in question.

It's cool that other folks like it of course! I just can't bring myself to buy an adopt that has been presented to me like that.

BluCheavy

took me a while to think of a few, but here we go. most of these have already been said here tho.
1. anime girls(and cartoon girls in general) with giant breasts, especially if a kid. kinda feels wrong to make girls only a sexual prop. no hate to anime though, im a big weeb, nor being that one gal who thinks everyone should be a girl or some shit.
(not sure if i need to black that one out, ill black it out if asked tho)

2. heterocromia, it can be realllly cool if used right, but its often just used to seem unique and i see it a lot on mary sues, tho not all heterchromia ocs are mary sues
3. furries with abes. im a furry, dont get me wrong, but it kinda creeps me out.
4. five fingured cartoon charactars. i know this is probably the stupidest thing to hate, but i think cartoons should always have the classic 4 fingers.im pretty sure its my old cartoon love speaking though, but i get its the person's style, and irl people usallly have 5 fingers, but its a thing that bugs me for stupid reasons. also, it generally saves time and you can actually do most things with only 3 fingers(except obvious ones like playing the guitar, but unless this is a guitar hero oc or somethung, it shouldnt be a problem)
ill edit this if i think of a few more

Ok so just wanted to come back to this thread, I honestly really like it! Anyway here's what I got:

Characters with glowing tongues/noses. Ok, I guess I'm sorta ok with glowing noses? They just seem kinda.. weird to me. Keeps reminding me of this one image from a video making fun of recolors where a dog's nose was glowing and they said: "Look, I'm not like the other dogs.." "Of course you're not your freaking NOSE IS GLOWING!"

And also.. the tongues. It always reminds me of those creepy tongue fetish drawings (especially the ones with Sans) and that's the only sort of thing I've seen it from so.. I wouldn't really be surprised if someone had a character like this tbh.

Cyclopses

I don't personally enjoy them on good designs or drawing them because it feels really weird and wrong. it sort of messes up my anatomy groove when the nose won't make sense either :')

Nothing against it, just I don't find them attractive when it comes to designs-

deadngone

my singular one is complex fur / clothing patterns. it just makes me wonder how the artist(s) manage to draw them every time.

AriKatDraws

that like, swooped to one side hair style,

at first i thought it was whatever, but its everywhere, and to me at least, its not even that interesting or cool of a hair style, I don't really care that much but i am kinda sick of it

AlleycatIrony

pastel (usually always pink) evil nurses/doctors w/ that whole 'kawaii' outfit that looks like a nurse cosplay w/ needles and blood everywhere? idk every man and his dog has a design like this but i've never seen the appeal - tho if that's ur style power to u!

boardwalk

winged characters on non flying species, I've seen it work in a way for me about once. Like I don't see why you need to add with to your genertic wolf oc with rainbow everywhere but go one I guess.

I guess I don't like it as it's pretty generic over all, but this is a design I like: http://flipanim.com/anim=etbRoj4B

Simple and the wings w o r k-

Orca

Anthro orcas with a dorsal fin on the back of their head. (This could extend to other species with dorsal fins, but IDK, I don't pay enough attention.) I prefer it to be on the back of the torso; that just feels more "correct" to me. The head fin still looks good, that's just my personal preference.

hnai

Im jut here to say that i agree with so many of these posts it hurts tbh

hnai

Nvm coming back to say that i really dislike closed species that are basically an already existing species witha few additonal features like a dog with wings or a human with horns and people call it their original closed species

bonus pet peeve points if the species is ultra famous

Orca

While I'm not big on open/closed/semi-open species, it honestly pains me to see how Dutch Angel Dragons have been so far removed from the original intention. They're supposed to be horse-like, which is actually a really unique concept for a dragon, but now everyone thinks they're just floofy dragons. The toony floof dergs look ADORABLE, don't get me wrong, but it's not what they were supposed to be, and it makes DADs less unique.
