As in, things you often see in designs a lot that you don't like yourself. Like trends.

I wondered this as I'm not a fan of colored teeth and bones yet I love colorful blood and whatnot. Yet people are making colored teeth/bones a popular thing now? (Seeing, say, blue-colored teeth, for example, looks...kinda wrong to me?)

The only rule is that you aren't allowed to attack people and such because they don't like something you like and vice versa. Be kind and civil.
Also, species don't count. This is about things like a kind of marking and the like.

Out of all my design pet peeves this is by FAR my worst:

I can't look at feral ocs with super long claws (especially canines)... I work at a dog grooming shop so maybe I'm just more sensitive about it but all I can think about is how painful and hard to walk it must be for that dog character and how much those claws must be catching on everything or how they could get torn out or broken or the claws getting tangled or curling into their pads or something and it's just not enjoyable to me to see

I get it, Demon Fido looks badass

kemonomimi with wings TwT; both of those individually give my brain issues reconciling as a concept tbh and out together i just kinda ???????!??!?? i like them aesthetically but can rarely actually use them.

I think its maybe just designs that tend to look the same as the others? Like i'll see the front page plastered with neon green slime ocs and i'll just,, wonder,,

IDK man, I just have stuff i'm 'eh', on, but I don't think i have anything that I'm completely "NON NO STOP" about. Maybe just naked anthros that are /obviously/ naked, not just fluffy n natural looking. it's just uncomfy to me.

I really don't get why everyone just decided anthro sharks look like dogs with fins. I get that every animal is apparently a dog, but sharks seem to get this treatment more than any other species, and I don't know why. What shark has ever had portruding ears? (Dragons see this treatment a lot too, but they get a pass since they're mythical and can be designed any number of ways.)

Overly complex designs also turn me off. I don't mean designs that simply have a lot of detail, I mean those that are so cluttered that it becomes difficult to make out anything. I might be somewhat biased here (my designs are quite simple), but often, less really is more.

Erm, multiple eyes. It just freaks me out a bit, like ewww gross. Might be some sort of phobia but yeah. I like it when there's a third eye represented somehow, but when I imagine a real third (or fourth or fifth etc) eye it freaks me out.

Kemonomimi designs are it for me..... I totally understand how and why people like them; they're just not usually to my taste because it's hard for me to fit them into my stories |D I absolutely have a couple of kemonos myself, they're just generally ??? for me character wise.

Tendo64

I never got the colored blood/insides/tongue thing (sorry OP, no hate), I just always thought it looked strange to me. If I get OCs with colored tongues I don't mind, nor do I mind when someone draws my characters with them, but personally a boring ol' pink tongue works for me haha

Also, not really in on the whole poofy-hair-that-covers-the-eyes dog design trend, although it might not be quite as common in recent years? Cute! But... not my thing personally :P Never can seem to get attached to them.

Designs that are meant to be like...permanently injured? Like the design itself has a bleeding stub for an arm or something/every image has the injury

It doesn't make sense to me unless they're like...a ghost or somethin

It does seem to be dying out though

Neon colors. I have no idea why, but neon colors kill me everytime.

That and OC's with designs that don't match up with their stories, like: "Sam works at Starbucks as a barista and likes talking to customers. He's really friendly! :)"

Meanwhile his design: Two sets of wings, three halos, looks like an angel re-incarnate. Like, if you buy it, it's entirely up to you what you want to do with your new design. But it just seems really boring to me.

I'm really not a fan of closed species that are basically just humans with animal ears or some other extremely simplistic trait. I won't name anything specific, but I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about... I personally don't want to spend a ton of money on a generic kemonomimi design just because it has a closed species' name attached to it.

I've also seen some people here mention realistic animal genitals and honestly? Hard freakin' same. Its just something I find personally kind of disturbing, especially if its a feral; anthros with it are also strange, but when its a feral it adds an extra element of wtf.

Overdone "psychopathic serial killer" characters. They're almost always generic and not at all realistic. That and yanderes. I'm just sick of the yandere trope I guess lol.

And last, those weird lip designs I see all the time on SU OCs. I get its an aesthetic thing to suit the show's art style, I've just never been a fan of the show's artwork.

BUT TO EACH THEIR OWN xoxoxo I don't mean to insult anyone
