I enjoy drawing faces/hair, skin is really fun to shade!
Sorry if something like this has been made before (lol) but I'm curious!
This can be about drawing a specific thing such as eyes, or hands. Or drawing a certain character...maybe you really love doing backgrounds, etc etc...!
My favorite thing to draw is hands. I aaabsolutely love them lol. And eyes too! I feel like thats one of the most important things in characters, since it can really showcase a lot of them just by how it's colored, highlighted, the size of their pupils etc.. down to every last detail! I also enjoy to paint photos I have taken, especially the ones of the ocean. ^^
So! What's your fave thing to draw? You can keep it short, or make it super long, or do whatever you like, just tell me about it :D !!!
All I can say is pikmin. Mainly ones with randomly placed markings. Just remember the year or so on Miiverse where I mainly doodled pikmin on Art Academy is making me super nostalgic rn! It makes me want to finally unpack my Wii U lmao. Or play Pikmin 2. I'm just now in a mood to play Pikmin and reminisce about my two or so years on Miiverse. Thanks for this thread lmao.
Oog i really love drawing these like... weird amalgamations of teeth and sometimes eyes. Idk how to describe it, I just draw a loose, scribbly outline with lots of crevices, and then I add teeth in every crevice and sometimes I'll add eyes in the center, but usally it's just more teeth. I kinda want to turn that into a character, but I have no idea... how.
Hair - Well-- I like drawing it even if coloring it is sometimes a huge pain LOL
Eyes - I've been trying to avoid sameface syndrome by making unique eyes on all my characters so drawing (and trying out new) eyes are always so fun to me. Sometimes I have to pay attention to this the most because my characters always end up looking weird if I did the eyes wrong ahah
Expressions - I don't have the opportunity to draw them much but I love drawing expressions! Even better if the expressions works out as the message I wanted to the deliver or just trying out new expressions on my characters c:
I love drawing eyes, especially once I went to to art school and grasped that there are more shape options than "cartoon eyes" and "bishie cartoon eyes".
Another thing I'm fond of...let's say anything that is for me, a northern european, an "exotic" skincolor. Doesn't matter if it's anything that exists naturally within the human population not, I just enjoy mixing the tones together and watching how rich the results can be.
Then there's water. Water droplets, underwater scenery, rivers, lakes, the whole thing. They can be calming or annoying and I'm not all that GOOD at depicting them but I feel like water is my element and I enjoy depicting it. It's so...fluid and organic.
Then there's wings. I consider myself good at painting bird wings and people with wings. Wings are made of the kind of warm, soft, organic shapes that I'm fond of. I could draw them all day.
Finally, blood. It's something I don't touch much nowadays but I actually quite enjoy drawing very light gore or splatter or small injuries. Same logic as with water, I guess, except it's got this striking color that lends contrast to any surface it's applied to.
Def hair and eyes, they’re so expressive lol- that and action poses, since I can fill up a sketchbook page quicker with those! ;w;
