I can also agree with "8-bit videogame music" to some extent. The reason 8-bit era videogames sounded like that are because of console limitations. You can't have a full-blown track when you need room for SFX & graphics/game data on the same cart. But it ends with a lot of OSTs sounding 'empty' or unfinished for me (even though ik it's a finished piece but you get what I'm saying). And I end up not liking a lot of "8-bit inspired" music because half the time it's recreating that empty sound despite having no limits or real reason to. Like I'd get it if they were working within hardware limits (like composing for a GBstudio game) but if you're not... what's the point?
I agree with the âto an extentâ on video game music. I think one of the few 8-bit tracks I like is Butter Building from Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland
Like most ppl in here, i hate ed sheeran music with a burning passion. Iâd have to say âwe donât talk about brunoâ is a big one, especially since i have an oc named bruno and i canât separate teh wto in my brain when listening to it now.
