His name is of Irish origin. ... Just kidding, it's actually total nonsense just like the rest of him.
From all the food the little fella could be named after... Now I just need one character named Tomato Sauce and one name Pasta >:)
I have a lot of unusual names and farfetched names i dont even consider weird, tho if i had to list the weirdest ones; Abbyssal, wpuldnt be that weird but its misspelled [on purpose]. Aggrevate, Fallen, and Fatality who are named after words, Arsenic whos named after a poison, and finally Zyklon B whos named after a German cyanide [inspired by a Will Wood song]
considering the lack of hawaiian ocs in the world you could consider their name unusual just by virtue of it being hawaiian. but it actually translates to "they who part the shadows", so their name is much more complicated than just one set word :]
I have so many that I stopped looking for more halfway through and skipped over some (most of the weird name ocs are in my head, the best ones are anyway)

Mr. Eddy Fangson Jones I literally won this character in a naming contest and this was the name that won

Dwarf - I had no idea what to call him, it was supposed to be a temporary name, but it’s his name now!
Moshi - I wanted to do something like ’ Mocha ‘ or ‘ mochi ‘ But I decided those were too bland and switched up the letters!
Turnip - When I got them that was their name it was so perfect that I kept it.
