mamimi is a real and normal (but uncommon) name. but it's funny specifically in the context of mamimi because mimi = 耳 = ears and her ears are fucking biiiig
Show me your ocs with unusual names! Things like numbers, abbreviations, nouns, etc. Just things that aren't usually used as names! I love these types of characters.
Super obscure/odd sounding but real names may qualify too.
He comes from a space opera story where alien names are par for the course, but his name's unusual even in-universe, because he made it up himself, on the fly, SPECIFICALLY to sound intimidating.
I mean...his name was based on a story one of my teachers in high school told us about how her son was named Logan because her husband lied and said it wasn't a superhero name because he was a huge nerd and kept suggesting names of comic characters, only to find out later it's Wolverine's real name rofllll I wanted to do something in the same vein with this guy because I thought it was funny. I'm not sure how believable it is for this particular name, but it's his and it stuck so now he's name after a giant fucking sandworm from a sci-fi series (and he doesn't even like to read).
what even is ariamon
he states that he absolutely hates his name and he wouldn't even name a dog like that
he likes being called Cinnamon by Variel, maybe he should officially change his name to Cinnamon
(I should've kept the name Orion from 2011 for him, he would prefer to be an orion)
her whole name is unusual.. bloodwyne comes from a family thing, it's the last name my parents usually use in video games..
other ocs include:
frog
hyacinth (technically a code-name but)
sock
tooth
the narrator
wolf
german shepherd
two (canonically has no name.. just a nickname of sorts)
