I find the early American colonial period/ the defectors that left the small colonies like Massachusetts really fascinating so I encorperated that into my sad ghost son’s backstory
I love historical characters! Several of my own come from time periods scattered all across human history, both past and future, but Marcia's possibly the character whom I spent the most time researching--she is a gladiator from an alternate universe Roman Empire that was never christianised. I also have Vesper, a soldier from a universe in which World War II progresses rather differently--the research for her world was painstaking and took 2 years, but the character herself is somewhat less bound by realism.

German ww2 pilot. He's a soft, good boy who loved kittens and still writes letters to his long dead childhood hero

William was a ghost who, prior to his death, originally grew up somewhere in the Middle Ages - I imagine it being around the 14th century.
