Let's See Historical Based OC's

Posted 5 years, 11 months ago by thegrumpydruid

They don't have to be living in history, but lets see some OC's based off some time periods or inspired form something in history, whether it be an event, a time period, particular items.... Anything!

Maybe they are a space samurai
Maybe a modern gladiator
Perhaps ye olde knight
Do we have an old ship captain?

Virgichuu

Oooh I currently have two of them since I have a historical folder which I'm thinking of filling up with many ocs from different ethnicities and time periods.

The ones I have here are husband and wife, Christian and Angélique. Both are noble people from France during the 18th century under Louis XVI's reign.

Louis Dubreuil fuelli

I don't even introduce myself on this thread anymore I'm just dumping my dorks here-

Lorna Smit FellowPigeon

All of my characters from my Harkers story are set in a fantasy world in the midst of its industrial revolution so there is a fair amount of real-world inspiration mixed in!

Asar Oxyhocin

Asar here is originally from the 18th Dynasty of Egypt and ruled for a very brief amount of time before dying of cerebral malaria!

I also have Yuuki, who was once a young noblewoman from the Nara period before she ran away from home and died of hypothermia

Christine Evelyn Anderson Cliodna

...why do I not have a post in this thread?

I've been having a roleplay with a couple of friends for two years, set in post-war 1940's Britain, an urban fantasy setting that's about to be ran over by a demon invasion. Some of the details differ, but it's as close a representation of the era as we can manage.

I've got Julia Wright/Henry Newman, a former SOE agent who habitually presents as the opposite gender. S/he got involved in the supernatural spent seven years in a medfant setting, helping a group of englishpeople to make it back home. S/he died a few weeks after return due to complications from werewolf injuries, but was made a martyr post-mortem.

And the linked gal here, missis Christine Anderson. A paranormal investigator and a bit of a gold-digger, trying to figure out the "real agenda" of the supernatural organization that was formed in H/J's memory (spoiler: it's fighting demons and protecting the people, even if half of England seems to think they want to take over the world).

Megumi Minn

She's based in and off around the time of the Maria-Luz incident in Japan, after which all courtesans etc, who were regarded highly in status, were suddenly told to be worth no more than cattle. Her entire story and personality is based off of that event.

Mary theoceandraws

A pirate from the late 1700s but I am considering on changing it to the 1600s

Olga Sobolevsky atacalepsy

ooh ooh !

i have olga, who was a factory worker during the gilded age! she was heavily inspired off of the labor revolution of the time, and as well as the poor working conditions during the late 1890s-early 1900s.

I've got plenty. Here's one of my favorites! She's a lady based in the late 1800s - 1920s among other ocs I own.

♖ Jean-Honoré its_olsomm

HISTORICAL YOU SAY..... . .. .... i always make my ocs historical i get no rest from it i feel off if its not historical n such
this is jean-honore!!!!! he was raised in Louis xiv's Versailles, became an officer and died tragically in war, then became undead and has been living in a deserted village with his platonic ghost partner..

✉ Gustav its_olsomm

then there's Gustav (and all of his friends who are marked with an ✉ in my character gallery) who is a noble son of one of the priori families in 1450-1480ish republic of Florence!!!!  he writes secret letters and poems and hes pretty closed off love him!!

Morgan Joseph Avery Jr. Jovian

Technically historically themed even in canon...sort of.  He's a civil war soldier that was accidentally plucked into the future...so he's very out of place.  And Victorian.

Zhang Yao rizzoto

Yao was a Japanese soldier in WW2~ he came from Taiwan, and he was involved in the Battle of Balikpapan/Soviet Invasion of Manchuria
