characters with physical disabilities !

I have many who do, I have a tag for it, but one of my most recent and beloved is soot, who has chronic fatigue, pain and mobility/flexibility issues, I go in depth about it on his profile! <3
My actual newest is Crackers, who is classic pirate disability bc the high seas life is dangerous. I love him, I love him sm

fennel is deaf :D they were born deaf but he hasnt let it bother him too much. she was very lucky to have not been bullied for their deafness, although they were kinda isolated, but accidentally. kids are not the best at that kinda stuff, yk? 

Monica lost most of her left arm after one of her more unstable and experimental projects mangled it beyond repair. The Respawn system at Cascade's a little scuffed, and although it tends to do its job properly during matches, it goes into a low-power mode during off-hours which makes it more likely for it to mess up, which happened to Monica after she sent herself through to try and fix herself. Afterwards, she made her prosthetic mostly on her own with a little bit of consulting with her team's medic.

I’m physically disabled and a lot of my characters are as well!

Ari is partially blind and uses forearm crutches due to pain and balance problems

David has amniotic band syndrome and was born missing his left hand as a result

Jarkko had his right arm amputated and has nerve damage and chronic pain, particularly on his right side

I hardly even address it when writing him through dialogue of others– I like making his friends a safe space for him not to be stared at, for people who have these unique traits to he normalized into society. The most I mention his leg is during a chapter outline where he's in a match against a really rude Underworld player, and they use his leg in several insults because, well, we should bring awareness to the fact that people as rude as that dude exist IRL! I also use it as an indicator of if he is walking but not seen by the other characters- his steps make a unique sound, which is sometimes great for tension/suspension when it comes to surprises or sneaking around Perim(the world of monsters)!

The fandom may be very small and obscure, but I still treasure this photographer babi as my prize representative design 😊 he's so sweet

i haven't yet drawn it, but near the end of his part of the story, certain unfortunate circumstances(aka his legs being torn off in a fight against a demon) require him to replace his legs with prosthetics

Ishmael is missing her right arm from the elbow down, and uses her powers of sand manipulation to create a second hand whenever she needs it.

 Ludo has prosthetic legs, and a prosthetic right arm!
