Rosie lost her hand due to a serious mechanical error during a pretty important test of hers. However, she was involved with the process and creation of a brand new hand, a rather fancy one at that, styled after her favourite pair of gloves.

Melon here lost his arm when he was playing in the swamps as a child and was attacked by an alligator and it dragged him into the water. In some ways, he considers himself lucky, because if his arm hadn't come off he likely would have been drowned instead. Because his family lived way out in the middle of nowhere in the wetlands, however, his arm didn't receive proper medical attention quickly enough and healed up badly. As a result, he deals with chronic pain. He does have a prosthetic, but it's uncomfortable and he doesn't like it so he doesn't wear it that often.
Vex is a singer/songwriter who has two prosthetic limbs that he had custom made to look like skeletal limbs in order to fit with the theme of his band.
Valter is blind and has been since he was young. He lost his sight due to a car accident when he was a child, in which he was hit head-on and suffered a severe head trauma. He doesn't let that stop him though; he's a tough lil' cookie.
Neerfein, Kalgos, Bren, (and a couple others who don't have profiles yet because I'm lazy) all have sight in only one eye. Neerfein lost sight in his left eye in a confrontation with his father when he was a teenager; although he didn't lose the entire eye, he is permanently blind in it. Kalgos lost his entire right eye due to the Spellplague (an event in the Forgotten Realms verse where living things were infected/'spellscarred' by rampant magic caused by the death of Mystra, a deity responsible for maintaining the 'Weave' of magic) and Bren lost his right eye when he was stupidly playing around with volatile poisons and chemicals.
I don't know if Bleu would count, but he has Raynaud's Disease, which is essentially where the body starts cutting off circulation to the fingers and toes when they're exposed to anything cold. This especially sucks for him because he's an avid hockey fan, so he has to bundle up really well and use hand and feet warmers whenever he goes to the rink. (I actually have the phenomenon, not the disease; it's really uncomfortable haha you have to wear gloves whenever it gets below like 65 degrees Fahrenheit outside or your fingers start to turn white/bluish-purple and lose feeling. A family friend has the full-on disease and she has to use gloves and a drink cozy in order to even hold a cold drink).
(I actually have a couple other amputee characters who don't have profiles yet, and one who needs a complete overhaul so I didn't include him. I am so lazy *hides*)
Kieran injured his knee pretty badly in a car accident. He has a limp and (is supposed to) walks with a cane.
In the actual story of another character of mine, as opposed to in his backstory, Mako ends up losing his forearm during a battle with raiders. But while his upper arm was initially spared, it eventually has to be removed due to concerns of infection. His boyfriend manages to outfit him with a cybernetic replacement. As advanced as it is, though, it means he can never return to the water.

draven is blind in one eye and missing an arm from... big...space monster attacking him. i need to figure out what that was but the entire incident hit him hard ESPECIALLY since it was only a few years after his bf esploded and got amnesia,,
speaking of, socks is also blind in one eye (funnily enough, the eye that draven is Not blind in) due to said explosion! he's also got limited mobility in the burnt half of his body and it is Not convenient. help him. fortunately - and unfortunately - he doesn't remember the incident in which that even Happened to him
edit: forgot but hes also like... kinda hard of hearing in one ear. he ended up learning sign language bc he's scared of going deaf... pray for socks
crawford is missing an eye (i just love half-blind characters huh JKHFDKHJLHJKG) after a subject attacked him, pinning him; if he hadn't managed to wiggle out of their grasp and shoot him, he's sure he would've died that day.
tenor (or, benjamin at the time) is missing a hand after it was cut off by the gang he worked for at the time, and was really the spark that led to the whole development of the fake personality of,, Tenor!
elliott's arm was cut off by an arms dealer after he accidentally caused the death of said arms dealer's friend in surgery! sorry elliott

Was going to say I should get to making profiles for mine but I don't think I have any, that's an oversight on my part. I'm not sure if the kid with proportionate dwarfism due to malnutrition counts. Oh well, better get to making some!
Ziku is deaf. She got her ears cut off while she was being held captive. Her deafness has also resulted in great difficulty speaking.
Blade and Amber both have stunted growth, but it's more than just being really short. They're also both very underweight and have some heart problems.
Deanore's wings never fully developed, so he can't fly. He can jump higher using his wings, but not fly.

Aaron has glasses and is missing both of his arms. This was result of a accident in his labs where someone sabotaged his work, resulting in his arms being blown off. He has since then dedicated himself toward the science of prostetics and is an innovater in his world for creating functional and practical prosthetics. As it stands his ref just shows his psychic generated arms, but he does have others he swaps in and out of.
Mitchel has a prosthetic leg (partially designed by the mon above lol). He tried out battling after a knee surgery and ended up with a nasty infection that resulted in an amputation. Sadly his new leg was deemed an unfair advantage and potential hazard (though this statement is still hotly debated upon). The prosthetic in question is more durable than his old leg and is made with water resistant parts and materials found in mechanical pokemon allowing this leg to work in rain,snow,mud anywhere. It however can still be destroyed by extreme forces like intense heat, immense pressure etc.
Mariana was born blind and had to learn to see souls and auras in order to get around. This is objectively better than normal sight except in the cases of large gatherings of pokemon. The sheer amount of aura give off would cause sensory overload and ultimately make her unable to see until she is moved to a less dense area and given time to cool off.
Preston is a psychic type pokemon unable to use psychic. This is from an attack from an unknown adversary (i cant go in depth its a spoiler for my ask blog) that resulted in the loss of the eyes in his ears (he is a meowstic). The loss of these eyes now prevents him from being able to safely and healthily use any special attacks that would need to be generated and conducted through his body, as in my verse the eyes play a huge part in generation and distribution of energy. He takes special medications to help ease the pain of the build up of energy and help him release the energy in a controlled fashion through his normal eyes. He has to be very careful not to over do it, because that would result in serious injury to himself and anyone too close by. He is relatively unaffected by this, though his inability to reach anything over 2'1" drives him crazy, he just doesn't complain too much.
He lost both legs and his left arm to blood poisoning. It was his own fault because he thought that the nanites he developed where finished but his body rejected them and his immune system went crazy.
He wanted to try them out on himself to see if they really would work. He used a prototype of a protestic hand on his desk.
He wanted to help so many people with disabilities by creating cybernetic protestics that would work with body energy.
If one of the protestics need to be repaired he will not leave the house. He hates it to be seen in a wheelchair. He will never take any help.
