OCs whose name/pronouns people always get wrong

Jaime ends up being "Jamie" more often than not, but I'm sure that's an issue in-universe as well.

It's really my fault for picking a relatively uncommon spelling, but "Jamie" will forever be The Classic Doctor Who Companion to me.

IRL it tends to be kinda a coin toss if people hit the right pronouns for any given character based on an image alone (and that doesn't even include the actually nb ones, lol), but I don't actually mind - just means that I'm doing something right when playing with gender expectations. Online, folks are a lot more used to that kind of stuff so it's been ages since that last happened and also I always state pronouns on the profile pages I guess.

He gets mistaken as a girl sometimes. I mean he's pretty feminine so lol

a lot of my feral characters (cats specfically; go warriors!) tend to be misgendered just cause... you know... there's noting really 'defining' about their appearance? it goes without saying not to assume someone's gender based on what they look like but you literally can't with most cats especially if you're drawing them more realistically than stylized. i don't mind most of the time because it's clear to me when someone's doing it spitefully versus out of ignorance and its almost always the latter.

percy's given name is polish and often mispronounced due the the przem portion making more of a shem sound. this isn't helped by his nickname, like, at all so that one's on me, haha!

While at a convention, I got called "Dee-Reck"..

I had never heard that pronunciation EVER. 

This goes for a few other of my original species characters that I have, but whenever people are discussing characters of mine whose names are in all caps (e.g. SIMERULER, OTHERPOWER, TIC), they always make it so only the first letter is capitalized and the rest are lowercase. I know this makes the most sense to people because that's the way names are done regularly, like, on Earth, but I hope they can recognize that the names being in all caps has an important meaning to the lore? It represents some sort of significance; godthings with powerful statuses have names in all caps, as do a few extra cases whose names are actually acronyms (like TIC).

If people mess this up I never mention it. It's just kind of strange for me because I'm well aware of why these names are like this. It's weird for me to see them written not in all caps, but then again it probably feels weird for people to write it in all caps. I will admit that at first it might be offputting, maybe seeming like you're screaming the character's name for no reason lmao

This happens way too much with kipper’s pronouns. They’re nb, and my friend and I keep referring to them with he/him pronouns because they used to go by those. It’s honestly a habit I’m trying to break lol

Quinn's NB and goes by they/them. I voice chat a lot, sometimes people slip up and default to she/her or he/him. If its a one-off mess up I dont mention it, but if it seems like someone's forgotten their pronouns I'll politely remind them! ^^;

Victor gets called a she sometimes because of his design, but that's also sort of the point of his design. Unicorns are usually drawn super feminine and cute so I thought it would be funny to use that in a design idk 😳
