OCs whose name/pronouns people always get wrong

Show me your characters whose name and/or pronouns people always get always wrong! Because we all know that's the kind of thing that happens, be it on the website itself (esp. forum games), off-site, or even in real-life! Are some characters of yours more prone to this than others, and why/how? And how do you usually reacts when it happens?

Robbie Lily-The-Rockstar

I've had people assume that Robbie was a chick- I mean- ig I could see it in his pfp?? but other than that- nah-

 Bug JackRabbitWonderous

bug uses they/them but ive seen/heard a lot of he/him for them, which isn't a super big deal since i only recently added their pronouns to their profile lol

Guillaume Philippe Échidné Saint-Vesta

Guillaume often gets mistaken for a lady. Cacciaguida‘s name gets pronounced and spelled wrong all the time lol. English speakers tend to pronounce the “gui” very harshly. I don’t mind, especially since Guillaume is a pretty uncommon name and he does look ambiguous, same with Cacciaguida.

 Eyeris AngelOShadows

Eyeris! It goes by it/it's pronouns, but a lot of people refuse to call it that and instead use they/them pronouns -- usually I wouldn't get bothered by it so much but I've stated Eyeris' pronouns multiple times & it uses it/it's as a way for me to explore and figure out my own identity, so when it's not respected... ^^"

It's not exactly the same, but I also have a handful of characters who have multiple pronouns but people always default to a single pronoun (such as a bigender character who goes by she/he who is almost always called she/her) and it can get really exhausting sometimes for me.

Soups IndigoBookwyrm

^ Oooh, I love Eyeris! I also have a couple characters who use it/its.

People keep calling her (IC) Soup instead of Soups.

 Astro BOUND

ok this was an old problem I had but before I decided to make him a trans man, he Ofc was female but had short hair and wore quite masculine clothing just in general. And I had to correct people that he went by she pronouns and not he pronouns

i guess I took that one person on aminos comment to heart when they said "just make em a guy :/" or somethin because I proceeded to make em a guy like a few months to a few later lmao. I don't know specifically why myself but yknow I wont question my first trans character 💃

Juno cnaaawd

everybody thinks juno is a she/her hyena woman! hes a he/him bear man :)

Tj Firefang QueenEtna

My main werewolf oc/fursona was always mistaken to be male, so now I draw her with boobs with her new redesign I did few days ago hehe.

I reaaaally hate drawing her with them though   Her full wolf form can still be mistaken for male. (I haven't made a new ref for her human form yet, it's a work in progress). People have in fact mistaken her human form as male as well in my old art of her (rarely drew boobs on her human form either lol).

Octavian Satanevski victorzhuzhakin

Probably half or more of those who said the name of this character aloud called him OctaviAn with an emphasis on the second "a". But in fact he is OctAvian with an accent on the first "a". Also, I recently found out that A LOT of my friends name the city where the events take place in the wrong way. They say Atroceville (emphasis on the "i"), although I call it AtrOceville (emphasis on the "o"). Maybe their version is correct, because many cities have such an accent with the ending "ville" but my version seems to me more sonorous idk lol

Chersea Vollumis DrLuminata

chersea's name is often mispronounced ^^' i've heard "chur-sea" the most, when in reality it's pronounced like "care-say-uh" :]

🦈 Kazumi Aito isra

always pronounced as ka-zoo-me (its kaz-oo-me)!!

Indigo ✨️ CryptidCanid

Indigo's strictly they/them but often gets called she/her as well. Hell, I even slip up once in a while but I always beat myself up over it (/lh) so I can't get too mad LOL

Isabelle "Sophie" Schirch fuelli

People keep calling Isabelle "Sophie" although I did everything I could to make it obvious that it's not really her name; sure, it is her current legal name and is used to refer to her in-universe on a daily basis, but you shouldn't call her that OOC.

Just looking at her bio for one second should be enough to get this, just like you wouldn't double-check an OC's pronouns instead of assuming by appearance alone. And her bio explains why she hates this name so it's even weirder to see people who seem to have read the bio otherwise use it... Same issue with her brother Ismaël, who keeps getting called Hans.

ThornShadow ThornShadow

My boy ThornShadow who everyone calls Thorn ;; SUPER annoying. Also because he has eyelashes and is usually depicted as a feral wolf (so not obvious from his body) people often guess his gender wrong.

Also Sketcher who I have someone who consistently "they/them"s him even like right after seeing his ref where his pronouns are listed. Other people aren't sure of his gender a lot too, but when it's not from the ref just from a random image I get it because he's got a pretty feminine body shape. Pluse it happens in-universe so.

My man Charu ppl think he's a woman a lot which. understandable. He has eyelashes for days and a purple ponytail.

Laughing Jackal I've had people think he's a girl.

Reese I've had people think he's a girl and be unsure.

People often "he" Cyx, though she wouldn't mind lol she only loosely IDs as female. (also happens in-universe)

Also a few privately listed characters Eileen who people sometimes think is a boy but is a girl (happens in-universe too), and Wes who people usually think is a boy but is nonbinary (also happens in-universe) (tho I have had people think he's a girl before too cuz I have art of him wearing dresses).

Edit: misplaced parenthesis
