Two or more characters that absolutely loath each other, or in constant battle with one another in some way.
Why do they hate each other so much?

For me- my characters: Malka and Sigma are mortal enemies.
Malka (who arrogantly believes he's innocent of any crime) causes the demise of Sigma's dear sister! In rage, Sigma imprisons Malka, making his life a living hell in jail. Malka isn't confined forever and once escaped, seeks revenge on Sigma for all his torment to him. The two are constantly at each other's throats, often quite literally! Malka's methods of revenge are far more subtle and mental, while Sigma wants to make Malka pay with his life, quite physically at this point!

Sapphire hates Vulcan due to the fact that he lead the attack on the Cattail Territory (which was a territory shared by water elementals and earth elementals)
The Cattail Territory was Sapphire’s home. Vulcan also killed Sapphire’s best friend right in front of her.
Vulcan doesn’t exactly hate Sapphire, he actually respects her quite a bit near the end because of her determination. But he still dislikes her since, well, she wants to kill him. She also gets in the way of his goals.
Raen and Tenio without a doubt.
They pratically grew up and trained together, but something went wrong in the past that destroyed their views on one another. Raen wants him dead, and Tenio wants to keep her banished so she could erode away.
Two mysterious beings who chase each other across the universe, one causing chaos and the other trying to stop it. While their histories are unknown, they're heavily implied to be very acquainted with each other as Silva gave Enigma his commonly known nickname and knows the futility of trying to stop him, yet does it anyway using archons, man's enemy. Enigma enjoys the "game" and really loves Silva as much as the beast he tries to gain the attention of through his destruction, compared to everyone else he teases or is indifferent to. Silva doesn't care about his "love" and hates him, though whether it's because he hurts others or something personal has yet to be revealed.

First off, we've got our one-sided rivalry between Luvkal and Inias. This whole feud is basically the latter's job, but because Luvkal is the first and only person to have ever shown him any affection, he's,, conflicted, to say the least. Luvkal, however, views Inias as nothing more than a bothersome chew-toy to bat around when all their other frienemies (Mel, Mal, and Indigo, just to name a few) are busy.
Father-child rivalry between Julian and Malaika, except they actually would be thrilled to see the other dead. So much so, in fact, that Mal does in fact kill his dad. And good for him, honestly. Man's a menace.
And then we have less deep-seated hatred, more obnoxious and untouchable pest vs. easily agitated target. Believe me when I say that if Cithrel ever got his hands on Gen, he'd wring the little bastard's neck like a wet dish rag lmfao
And finally, Zenith and nearly every single character I own that has every been remotely dangerous to humans in their life. Ever. He knows everything you've ever done and he's after you, man.
Oh my dear or not so dear gal Xiong Xifeng can finally shine. xD
Yan’er & Xiong Xifeng is everything from enemies to rivals and such.
The girls are like black and white, Yan’er was raised by her grandfather who loved her and belived girls was more then just chess board pieces to establish a better relationship with another family. Her family was doctors, and ranked as the #3 powerful family in the country. Not that they cared about that at all.
Xifeng was raised as a princess, but she was never loved. Her family raised her as something they could use later in life, to gain fame, connections etc. Her family work with fashion and silk, and is ranked as the #2 richest family. They are greedy, and her whole family see Yan’ers family as rivals. Xifeng was told from a young age, that Yan’ers family wanted to ruin them, and people below them shouldn’t reach for stuff they are not entilted to. And that was the mindset she grew up with, plus she secretly was jaloux on her strong family bond.
Yan’er first only see her as a bully, and someone who she have pity with. But with time, Xifeng get manipulated to burn a house down and tries to destroy Yan’ers relationship with her grandfather. She even go so far to manipulate Yan’ers in-law, and that results in both Yan’er and her maid but soon lover Ru Shi, dies.
When Yan’er wakes up, she is not human anymore. She have no home, family, and for the first time she experience hate.
Atlas and Aries are rivals, they're opposites in many regards but also very similar in some. They're both tied for strongest in their gang but Atlas has proper training as a boxer and prefers to fight fair where as Aries has a bit more experience in wild brawls and prefers to fight dirty. They both crave power but Atlas pursues power to achieve his goals where as Aries goals are power itself, they're both very emotion driven but Atlas tries his hardest to conceal his emotions and to not act on them where as Aries will do and say the first thing that crosses his mind. Aries wishes he could be the gang leader but secretly he doesn't know what he'd do if he did get the chance and while Atlas is constantly annoyed by Aries and they clash a lot he knows Aries is too valuable to kick out of his gang, and that is he ever had to do anything morally dubious he could call on Aries for help and knows he'd keep his mouth shut.
I tried to extend their dynamic into their designs a bit, blond hair and brown eyes vs black hair and blue eyes, bright shirt with dark pants vs dark shirt with bright pants, hair curled out vs hair curled in, Greek themes vs Roman themes, I'm pretty happy with them so far
Eve Knight and The Unnamed Armor have a deathly rivalry. EK used to guard a magical artifact with their friends, and idolized TUA, keeping up with stories of his heroism and being inspired to learn combat, themself. Then, TUA broke in, killed all their friends and nearly killed them, and stole the artifact. They've been trying to hunt him down ever since.
Conversely, Spear Dee has a bit of a frenemy situation going on with EK. EK broke into the castle looking for TUA, and Spear has held a grudge and is determined to make them pay!! For damages!!
Depending on what point in the story you look at, Scott and his cousin Hal go from best buds in childhood to spiteful rivals in adulthood. Of course, this is caused by Hal's manipulative tendencies to force his cousin into making terrible business decisions that causes Scott's customers to get either hurt or ill. With Hal also being Scott's lawyer, Scott put a lot of faith into Hal's decision-making to help him get out of every lawsuit that came their way. ...Every lawsuit that was technically caused by Hal and Scott (unbeknownst to Scott). Hal thrived off of that power he had over Scott and used it to keep pulling the strings on everyone involved.
Life was like a game to Hal, but once Scott gets the idea of what's going on, things will likely get worse.
Him and Jingjue. They are… stupid. Also in love. Actually, the stupidness is a result of the love. Anyways-
Long story short, Xinlai is trying to be an Evil Spy ™️. Jingjue is Edgy Guy That Trusts Nobody ™️. They go sword-to-sword in every spar and compete to place top of the class while trying to prove the other wrong (Xinlai, about Jingjue’s suspicions) or catch the other in the act (Jingjue, about Xinlai’s supposed evilness). Hence, rivals. Also, mutual pining.
(Spoilers, Xinlai’s plot is uncovered, Jingjue feels betrayed, except Xinlai is too much of a bleeding heart to actually be evil so things get fixed. Misunderstandings and more pining and romantic tension ensue. They get a happy ending… eventually.)
ohh !! in a story im working on, Silvertooth is the protagonist and while Bo is only the primary antagonist for the first two acts, their rivalry and conflicting personalities are a recurring plot point / theme :D I'm trying to go for a western take on the shonen rival haha
delores and warren fucking hate each other. delores has more of an upper hand in this considering she never leaves her dimension and is friends with other supernatural entities (and has one 'employed' as a hitman) and has the all the info needed to ruin his career instantly. she holds it over his head to taunt him all the time. warren's also got connections and has a tight grip (currently anyway) on the local economy and tries to up his rep as much as possible, dissuading leaks and rumors about him to be hearsay from people jealous of him. they were initially business partners in the 50s for like a month before warren got too controlling and never really held up his end of the deal. warren acts like he's got the upper hand and makes sure to never show fear when talking to her but it's gotten so bad he forced everyone close to him to use a specific code when talking on the phone to make sure it's not delores impersonating them. as bad as a situation as it is for his family and everyone else close to him warren will not back down and neither will delores.
Wrench and Kira are both demons trying to redeem themselves, and Wrench only does it because he knows Kira will rub it so hard in Wrench's face he'll be lunged straight back to hell. Kira is obsessed with Wrench, she wants to be better than him at everything, but she still considers him her friend unlike Wrench himself, who finds Kira as an enemy.
