Art Cash-in

Posted 2 years, 9 months ago (Edited 2 years, 2 months ago) by 4LeafRose

Come here to cash in art for Star powder! Simply link the Starnie(s) and their art below! You can only cash in on art you made yourself! You can certainly draw another users Starnie and get SP that way but please make sure you have the owner's permission first! Edited bases, avatar maker art, etc. can not be cashed in. Art with several versions (such as filter/no filter version, a sketch, lineart, and finished piece of the same work, etc) only count once but if you Cash-in on a sketch and later color it you can come back and get the difference in SP. SP Values are subject to change.

Thank you very much for submitting your cash-in! Unfortunately, I came upon a couple mistakes: Sadly, Full Body 1+2 do not count for additional SP, as they are not wholly unique pieces; I understand they are drawn separately - traditionally and digitally, but (correct me if I'm wrong, 4LeafRose) staff has determined that despite being "redrawn" when digitized, the redrawing of a traditional piece digitally will still count once (levelling included).

But! On the positive side, your calculations were close, but not quite correct, so I would say the additional bonuses you accrued well-makes up for this:

  • Ref 1: 100 SP
  • Ref 2: 100 SP
  • Icon 1: 25 SP + 5 SP Bonus (Abstract Background)
  • Icon 2: 25 SP + 5 SP Bonus (Abstract Background)
  • Wallpaper: 100 SP + 25 SP (Bust of alt form) + 5 SP Bonus (Abstract Background)
  • Bust 1: 10 SP (5 SP for each sketch bust)
  • Bust 2: 25 SP + 50 SP Bonus (NPC Art)
  • Total: 475 SP
I shall be adding this to your inventory as soon as I get verification from 4LeafRose! Thank you very much for being the first to submit your art cash-in!

Oof- That's my bad! :') I never included that information here. It is fixed now! Please forgive the misunderstanding as I continue to work out any 'bugs' in the world~

Aldwyn, I love the way you organized your tracker! It was very helpful! I certainly agree with your assessments, but wanted to add some background bonuses for some of your pictures!

  • Abstract Backgrounds: 3 = +15 SP (Ref background counted once, as it is the same for both refs; icon background; full body sketch with flower patterns around character)
  • Partial Scene: 1 = +20 SP (Floating in space sketch)
  • Full Scene: 2 = +100 SP (Full body sketch with grass and sky scene; full body sketch floating in space - stars, dust, planets)
  • Total with bonuses: 1370 SP
Your inventory shall be updated momentarily! Do let me know if you don't believe these bonuses should be added, for any reason. But I did double check with 4LeafRose! :)

PocketSized Oh, alright! I was kind of confused haha, thanks for clearing things up ^^"

Spookybug_love, thank you so much for your cash-in submissions! Absolutely adore Hazel cookie! Looks so cute and delicious!!

There are a couple of errors in your calculations (but in a positive way, as they count for more SP), but for the most part you are correct!

  1. Full Body Colored Lined = 100
  2. Full Body Colored Lined + Simple Background + Prompt = 155
  3. Bust Colored Lined + Simple Background + Prompt + Shading (I personally wouldn't classify it as much shading, moreso gradient, but I'll give it to you this time) = 90
  4. Full Body Colored Lined + Shading + Prompt = 175
  5. Craft = 200
  6. Full Body Sketch = 15
  7. 3 Full Body Sketch = 45
  8. TOTAL: 780 Star Points

Hey there, -B-is-very-spooky- ! Thanks so much for submitting for SP! Unfortunately, I cannot count all the sketches separately, because they are not unique pieces from one another, even if you redraw it (say if you drew it, turned it in, lined it, then colored it - it would still count once). I will, however, give you the most possible for each bit; I see you have colored one of the sketches, so it'll count toward that SP equivalent, rather than just a sketch. Below is the total I came up with, please look it over and if you disagree, don't hesitate to bring it up! :D (Even I make mistakes!)

1. Colored (Lined) Full: 100 SP
2. Colored (lined) Half, Shading: 50+15 SP
3. Sketch Page (top sketch counts below); full sketch, bust sketch: 15+5
4. Colored sketch bust: 10
5. Lined Full, partial scene: 50+20
6. Same sketch from 3, 4: None
7. Colored sketch bust: 10
8. Bust sketch: 5
9. Half sketch: 10
10. Full sketch, shading: 15+25
11. Bust sketch: 5
12. Full colored sketch: 35
13: Full sketch, shading: 15+25
14. Half Colored sketch, shading: 20+15
15. Bust Sketch: 5
16. Bust colored sketch, shading: 10+10
17. Bust sketch: 5
18. Bust sketch: 5
19. Bust colored sketch, shading: 10+10
20. Writing (scene, prompt): 150+50
TOTAL: 690 SP

4LeafRose is welcome to over-turn any of my decisions, but I do want to explain my reasoning for what I decided:
Busts include headshots and art up to around the bust (chest). Half-bodies, on the other hand would cut off around the waist. I wanted to give you as many bonuses as possible, to make up for the sketches that I didn't count; but in the future, please color the sketches completely for them to count as a colored sketch, shading included.

I do not wish to offend you, nor discredit your work. I genuinely love seeing people draw their characters, but I didn't count some of the sketches, because they were the same picture. I understand that they were drawn separately - some seem to be on different paper - but with only minor changes like a tiny expression shift, number of stars on their cloak, etc. it isn't fair to be counted multiple times in order to gain levels or currency. I'm not saying you didn't put in effort, or that you are a poor artist - we all start somewhere. I truly want you to keep trying, keep drawing, keep writing. And I do, honestly, appreciate all the pictures you have drawn of your starnie, and I hope you keep it up! So please, do not let my decisions deter you from continuing your art journey. Again, if you'd like to make a case, I'm open to discuss - and Rose can pipe in as well. But for now, this is what I've decided in regards to your submission. (Also, in the future, please format your post a little more cohesively, as it's a bit cluttered and difficult to navigate.)

PROMPT!fullbody: colored fullbody (100 sp) + shading (25 sp) + partial bg (20 sp) + prompt bonus (50 sp) = 195 sp

PROMPT!halfbody: colored halfbody (50 sp) + shading (15 sp) + simple bg (5) + prompt bonus (50) = 120 sp

TOTAL SP = 380 SP (if anything is incorrect I'll blame it on my poor math skills)

Lyra1234, Looks good to me! Thanks so much for your submissions!

KaiiriYuu, I would add an additional 5 SP for an abstract background on your first half-body picture; as the floaties don't seem to be star pieces (summonables)! Also, I would like to ask that in the future you make sure your links work. Thankfully it was easy to see which would be which at this point, but it's going to be more difficult basing it off of gallery alone (only one of your links worked) which would be which. Also, you can turn in your reference for an additional 100+5 (colored full, sketch head shot) if you would like? Just say yes and I'll add that to your total! :)
