☆~Hello everyone~☆
I'd like to formally apologize for the inactivity of this species! It's been a wonderful but busy 2023! Looking ahead, there's going to be some changes to the species and how everything is set up. Over the next two months I'll be reworking trait sheets, world mechanics, and possibly new features. The species will be scheduled to return near the end of August, Starnie's second year anniversary! During this maintenance period, most features in the world will be unusable. Thank you all so much for your patience!
Just a heads up, the species will be on a small hiatus while we work on changing some functions in the world. Another update will be sent out as soon as possible with the changes and features! Tysm for everyone's patience and happy holidays!

We apologize for the radio silence as of late, but we have been hard at work behind the scenes! We are pleased to announce the introduction of Dark Starnies!
Sometimes, when a wisher wishes upon a star trillions of miles away, that star is already Dead. The light we see is just a remnant, traveling through space and time. Dark Starnies are born when a wisher unknowingly wishes upon a dead star. Dark Starnies are much like regular Starnies and could be mistaken for one if not for their unique abilities and personalities.
Dark Starnies are much rarer than regular Starnies, and as such require a special MYO. But never fear! This month's events provide multiple opportunities to obtain a Dark MYO! (These slots do NOT expire, and upgraded traits can be applied!)
PROMPTS:
Earn a Common Dark MYO by completing four (4) prompts by the Event Deadline! Got unused traits in your inventory? Feel free to use them to access higher than common traits for your Dark Starnie!
- Minimum requirements: Half-body colored clean sketch, 400 word literature, or completed craft
- Starnie's are an SFW kind of species and NSFW will NOT be tolerated. (Mild gore permitted, just don't try to bend these boundaries, please)
- If you don't have a Starnie of your own, you can use any of the Npcs or ask permission to use another member's Starnie for the prompt. Starnie's must be approved before they can be used in prompts.

Haunted House: Were they dragged by their Wisher? Did they go on their own accord? What's your Starnie's reaction to the infamous tradition of visiting a house of horror?
Corn Maze: Halloween isn't always about the spooky! Or perhaps it is? (Haunted corn maze?) Sometimes it's fun to test one's sense of direction - and possibly luck - by finding their way through an elaborate maize maze!
Get Crafty: Pumpkin carving, corn husk dolls, leaf prints, or even craft store kits! What kind of autumnal art projects appeal to your Starnie?
Party Hearty: Got a party animal on your hands? What's your Starnie's favorite activity at a Halloween party? Costume contest? Bobbing for apples? Decorating for the party itself?
Trick or Treat: It's a classic for a reason! You're never too old to beg for free candy! (Whether or not you'll get any is an entirely separate question!)
Not So Sweet: Taffy too sticky and too hard to get unstuck from their pearly whites? Licorice too...licoricey? (Or the eternal question: Red Vines or Twizzlers?) Are there any sugary treats your Starnie doesn't like?
Frightful Flicks: Lover of horror films? Just in it for the adrenaline rush? Or perhaps your Starnie just enjoys scary movie parodies? Whatever their reason, what's their reaction or perhaps their favorite movie munchy?

Thank you for your patience! It is not mandatory to use the website, as our mainstay is toyhouse - this is more for aesthetics and logging ease!
A big hello to everyone and a little reminder to those participating in Artfight this year!
Drawing a Starnie, whether it's yours or someone else's, earns you Star Powder. Also, every art piece in your Starnie's gallery improves it's level. This can definitely come in handy during Artfight! Don't forget to Cash-in after the fight and Level-up your Starnies!
If you've uploaded your Starnie to Artfight this year, feel free to drop a link to their af profiles for others to attack! >:)

I have come to announce our Starnie December prompts!
This months prompts will have a random item roll, including several exclusive winter items, traits, and myos! There are 5 separate fun-filled prompts. You can do as many or as few of them as you'd like. Just don't forget to finish them by the deadline on December 31st~
On another exciting note, our beautiful staff has created spectacular adopts that you can buy! Be sure to give them a look before they are gone~

Here's what's new!
We have welcomed new Staff to the team to help everything run more smoothly! There is now a Staff page & introductions listing all current staff.
Our World Currency "Star Powder" has officially been released! Star powder can be used to buy myos, traits and items from the shops!
The Starnie level check, Starnie upgrade approvals, Art Cash-in and Inventory are now fully operational!
2/3 Official Shops are now up and running including the Daily Shop and the Level Shop!
Our first Prompts for October have just dropped! By drawing, writing about, or crafting your Starnie, you can earn fun, exclusive items! Try to get your entries in before it's too late~

Looking for honest and friendly staff members who don't mind lending a hand in the species! I honestly thought it would take a little while longer before this world grew too big for me to do alone but I was wrong and it's been a pleasant surprise! 😂 I'll still be doing as much as I can but some extra help would be awesome!
Staff requirements:
•Must be 18 years of age or older.
•Must be willing to participate and be apart of the world. Activity comes second to willingness because we know that real life responsibilities are most important!
•Starnies are a family friendly kind of species. For this reason, your vocabulary when regarding anything related to Starnies/in the Starnie world/forums should be restricted to family friendly words. (A.k.a I will not tolerate cussing. Please don't.)
•Any sensitive or NSFW content on your profile should be thoroughly marked as such! Profile and character Warnings should also be utilized if necessary! (This way any minors who stumble upon your profile can stay safe!)
•Must be kind and considerate to members of the group, using sound judgement and patience when dealing with any situation.
•No form of racism or hate speech will be allowed! Politics should also never be mentioned.
Duties and responsibilities:
(Everyone may not have the same responsibilities! Tasks can be delegated based on what everyone would like to do. Some tasks could do with more than one person working on it)
Everyone (Moderator title):
•Moderating events, prompts, forums, etc (anything Starnie related)
•Answering simple questions at the help desk. (If there is ever a question you do not know the answer to, it is ok to wait for me to answer it myself)
•Helping to resolve disputes or issues if they occur.
Individual tasks (Admin title):
•Updating Starnie levels in the Level up forum
•Assisting with the shop
•Awarding SP (Star Powder) at the Cash-in forum
•Updating the masterlist (goes hand in hand with level ups)
•Updating inventory (goes hand in hand with shop and cash-in)
•Approving Starnie upgrades (and updating the masterlist/inventory)
•Rewarding items/myos/etc. During events/prompts
I am also looking for one or more individuals who would be interested in setting up a species Discord. I do not know enough about Discord myself to do it, but if someone else would be willing to, let me know!
*There are some things that I will continue to do alone for now like Starnie approvals and event planning.
