RULE UPDATE [8/5/2022]

Let's have a slumber party! It's cold in my room and I cannot stop sleeping. I might as well think about fake people sleeping while I'm at it.

RULES AND GUIDELINES:

  • Keep NSFW to a minimum -- suggestions, implications, and innuendos are generally fine, but keep in mind that minors have access to this thread.
    • Romantic interactions are allowed, but only between adult characters.
    • Sensitive or gory interactions are also allowed, but must be put under a spoiler or blacked out.
  • Remember to post IC! The IC button is on top of the field where you write your post, just switch it on and select the character you wish to use.
  • There is a five sentence minimum!
    • As a general suggestion, not quite a rule, however, please try to match half the post of the person you are responding to.
  • You may only post every three posts or three days after the last post, not three days after your own.
    • Example: [You] [x] [x] [x] [You] or You [x] [x] [three days pass] [You]
  • You may post a "claim" to avoid getting sniped, but please do not take too long on it!
    • You will be pinged here with a reminder after twelve hours of an unfinished claim. After twenty-four hours of an unfinished claim, you can be skipped by the next person.
  • You must prove that you have read the profile of the character you have responded to and your post must contain elements of their information. No one wants a post where their character is barely -- or worse, not at all -- acknowledged.
  • Be kind to your fellow players, but know that in-character views are not their own out-of-character. Just because their character's rude to yours doesn't mean they themselves feel that way!
    • Do not skip over users who have you blocked or who you have blocked. Wait for someone else to respond to them before posting.
  • I supervise this thread as much as I can, but if you spot problems, please either DM or ping me.
Empress muichiro

It was the women's only annual sleepover party hosted in the community center. Though 655 itself was the one who offered the event, Empress wasn't one of the 'camp counselors' this year, as they were called. Instead of decorating for the party or setting up foods and air mattresses for the sixty-four women who had reserved their spot; she was actually lounging around in her pajamas and waiting for the arrival of others. So far, the early arrivers had been welcomed and able to enter, where they were shown the indoor pool room, the lavish bar and the arrangement of snacks that were already catered and waiting to be eaten.

Hours passed and more women showed up. Everyone partook in the first activity, where you were to draw a large bubble and decorate it. Inside of the bubble, you wrote kind things about yourself, such as your strengths, what you liked about yourself and your goals. It was for empowerment, and those who wished to hang theirs up on the wall were allowed, while others kept their papers to themselves. At around ten pm, when a movie was streaming in a different room, Empress flopped down on her assigned mattress and smiled over to Aminia, who was on her own. She'd met her earlier, during the activities and they'd hit it off fairly well. Now both equipped with wine glasses, they sat together, giggling and enjoying their night.

"Those names are so cute! I'd love to see your dogs, if you have any pictures." She begins. "I've never actually been allowed to have dogs in my home. My parents weren't big fans of them. B-But we had cats?" Though.. maybe Aminia wouldn't care much for that topic if she had dogs. A lot of dog owners usually didn't have both, and vice versa. "That reminds me, though; have you seen the new palette from CatEye? It had a really nice purple in it that reminds me of your shawl!"

Void Void_Lizard

Void was pretty excited to spend a sleepover with another undead! His kind were often more hostile and untamed, so finding one so refined and personable was a treat. He had been sprucing up in preparation for Willow's arrival - his place was a nice little retreat in the deep wilderness and he wanted it to be as inviting to a stranger as it was to him. It had just started to rain and the sound of the weather in the leaves and on the air filled the hidden grotto, but a sound drifted overtop of the ambience around Void. There was a knock, the gentle but firm tapping of knuckles on wood. "Just a moment! Please, come in, I'll be out shortly!" the undead creature called into the other room.

Willow was none too happy about being caught in a sudden rainstorm and wrang her hair to rid herself of the cold rain clinging to her. Void strolled into the front room, a fluffy towel in one arm and a soft fur shawl in the other. Offering both with a fanged smile across his bleached skull, he apologized about the weather, knowing how Willow detested the rain. After accepting the items, she followed him into a cozy little room with a couch, a fireplace, and blankets and pillows spilling into the floor. Void's tail wagged slightly as he flopped down on one side of the sofa, displacing a few pillows in the process. Wrapping himself with a fluffy almost fur-like cloth shroud, he invited the beauty to sit down.

Sitting close to the necro-druid, the undead woman could smell the scent of rain and moss on his mane. Had she actually liked rain, it might have been more comforting. The other scent was soft, delicate flowers, similar to hers. While hers was a rose scent, Void's was that of chrysanthemums, a flower of those who have lost and mourned. The entire room smelled of flowers of all sorts, grown in large planters and pots, something you'd expect when learning the host of the home was a druid in love with nature. The closest one to Willow had begun blooming roses, though none compared to her and her white rose.

Safe and happy in his warm little den full of soft textures and the beauty of plantlife, Void started drifting off. Undeads didn't need to sleep, really, but he liked the quiet embrace of unconsciousness. Willow, on the other hand, had still some awakeness to her. She knew the doors were well shut, no one dared journey to this undead and forsaken place, and Void had promised safety in this retreat. Her mind was eased by these facts, or at least as eased as she let them be. This home had an aura of trust that soothed the lost. It smelled of home, it sounded like home, it felt like home. Seeing the undead creature sleeping peacefully on the other end of the couch, curled up with his long bony tail around himself over the covers, the woman started to feel her eyelid weighed down and joined her fellow undead in sleep.

BREAKING N3WZ!!! Puppyc0rn

As the Sun set, the virus cleaned their small cottage, making sure to gel any dust or filth. On the outside of the cottage, Void quietly approached and knocked on the door. They zipped to the door, opening it to the undead. "Come on In!" N3ws chirped. It zipped back to the kitchen to get their so called `Battery acid`, a mixture of sour candies, an energy drink, and a singular gummy bear impaled on the brightly colored straw. As Void settled down on a soft blanket on the floor, N3wz came back with their drink and sat down in front of them with a basket of games.

They both played most of the games, genuinely enjoying each others presence. Around 2 hours later, N3ws decided to make their resting space in a cozy space under their original bed. The dim, off-white lights filling the space as them and Void. As they both settled in their places, N3wz turned off the lights besides a small light that dimly changed colors. They both went numb as sleep overcame them, the soft putter-patter of rain in the background.

Maribelle Burnett (Post-6020) Vapor

How Degare ended up in this situation, he wasn't sure. Why he accepted it, he also wasn't sure.

A virus -- not that he knew what a computer virus was -- taken form of a freakish little fox beast, he wasn't sure how to describe them, was entirely new. And they invited him to their home. And so he was stuck there for the night, it seemed. Flashing lights of video games and screens on strange new devices did nothing for him but hurt his head, and rumors that circulated had him clearly on edge. When Degare looked at N3wz, he didn't see something cute or innocent.

There was no redemption for crimes so deliberately and joyously taken part in. For N3wz, Degare remained entirely stone-faced through it all. The pleading for games, for hedonism that he thought very little of. Rather, he turned his back on them.

"Do you have anywhere I can just read?" he asked, exasperated, "Your... things are lost on me." He spoke every word to the creature with a voice full of disdain. "And I need to review my material."

If he was lucky, maybe he could slip out a window. He was tired, sure, but he was more paranoid than foolish. And he was not going to fall asleep around them.

mercedes octoforlife

Vapor

Mercedes was lost, a road trip gone wrong. It was raining hard and the sky was dark and she hadent seen a single house in hours so the chance of sleep tonight was slipping through her fingers like the rain water was. Trudging along the windy dirt path, Mercedes' eyes fixed onto a patch of trees on a hill a few miles ahead of her. Maybe she could settle under there for a little. Fuck her life. If she hadn't taken truth or dare seriously, she'd be cozying up at home right now with a nice cup of chai tea.

By the time Mercedes reached the tree's, she was ready to collapse, hair matted to her forehead and clothes drenched. She leaned against the wet bark of the largest tree's and exhaled. As she pried her backpack off, she happened to look down the other side of the hill and saw something. A barn. And a faint light coming from inside. Mercedes felt so relieved she could cry.

Running down, or at least trying to, was tricky, but the squelch in her shoes and fogged up glasses were the last thing on her mind as she made her way towards the barn. Whether the place was haunted by a spirit or was the hide-out of an axe murderer, at least Mercedes would be under a roof and her life would be complete.

The barn was worn down. Looked like it hadn't been used for years, but Mercedes saw the unmistakable glow of a lamp inside. She decided to do the most logical thing and pushed the door. It creaked open and she peered inside. It was a hayloft. Mercedes couldn't actually tell if she was crying from relief or if it was just the rain.

The light was coming from behind a large haystack. With how eery silent it was, Mercedes wasnt expecting to see anyone when she went to check. But there was. A young girl. She couldnt have been much younger than Mercedes, probably a kid, and she was staring right back with a beat up oil lamp clutched in her right hand.

After the initial mildly panicked expression on the girls face subsided, the two just kind of... stared at each other. Mercedes mentally noted that the girl had probably been through a lot, a missing thumb, a long scar across her face and dark bags under her eyes. Her face was young, but her expression looked tired, like the mind had lived a lot longer and seen more than the body had.

"Mind if i stay here with you?" Mercedes asked in a quiet voice. "just tonight. ill be gone by tomorrow morning." She didnt get an answer, so she decided to take it as a yes and settled down on the hay-bail across from the girl. "its a sleep over, i guess."

Goodwin Arcana Kvroii

(uhh uhhh i just wrote this up and closed the tab im sorry oh my god)

Mateo may have been used to visiting older women's homes, but 450 was likely older than he was used to, and the only services Goodwin requested of her guest for the night was to help her build a towering pillow fort in the living room of her mansion. She deemed him a lovely guest from the start (it helped that he didn't pour his tea down the drain), and she had her mind made up that, on such a rainy night, he would have only the finest of sleepovers.

The sleepover was unprompted, if she had to admit it to herself. She saw him out in the rain, and she boldly convinced him to come in for the night, as if he was a stray. She reasoned that she didn't have nearly enough visitors anyway (she had them everyday) and that maybe Mateo would be blunt enough to match her own demeanor, something all her friends as of late seemed to lack.

She put an album on her record player, placing the needle down on 'Friday I'm in Love' by The Cure. She handed the album sleeve to Mateo. "I have an extra one of these, you can have it," she said, looking for her spare. "How is the fort coming along? Oh, it's just lovely!"

She turned her attention to the fort only for a second, before realizing that Mateo seemed to be having some difficulty reading the back of the album sleeve. "Oh, my dear, what was I thinking? I should have my daughter come over and teach you, she's helped people learn stuff like that before. Although, she doesn't like people like you -- that is to say, people who don't socialize well -- so maybe it will just be the two of us tonight. How does that sound?"

Goodwin smiled at Mateo, unaware that she, herself, wasn't expressing the most tact. Her eyes caught his teacup. "One moment, there, I'll get the teapot, it seems like you're out of tea! I'll make sure you stay warm tonight, alright?"

(OKAY there we go im sorry it took so long TuT)

 Nerine Diadrakos Vapor

Nerine... was still pretty much in agony. Her skin was no longer broken out into hives, sure, but long after leaving the boat behind and oh so gracefully inviting herself into Goodwin's home, she kept feeling as though her pores were... suffocating! How could she explain it? Did it matter? ..Probably not? She was here now, though, in Goodwin's mansion, all too comfortable with waltzing in and sprawling out lazily.

"I guess I should've pinned you for the tea type, too." Nerine drawled, "Honestly, that's the best thing right now about all of this, that I'll get to have a drink that isn't total shit." As she spoke, she lifted her teacup, despite the numbness still radiating through her hands. "Sophie's more into coffee and all. Hough. What a bother she can be, you don't even know half of it. I'm sure you deal with types like that, even if you're just a... a cafe worker. Bet you get a lot of assholes."

"But, because you get a lot of assholes, I'm also sure you get a lot of talks. Bunch of eavesdropping, bunch of just gathering information like that. No use to me, it all isn't, but at least it's interesting, right? If not interesting, then guess it's funny."

The woman shrugged her broad shoulders, and then sank back into her makeshift bed on the floor. She could have picked anywhere in this spacious maze of an abode, but she chose the floor, with one blanket underneath and one blanket on top. She crossed her arms lazily behind her head and leaned back against her pillow. "Know something, if nothing else." she added, just as sluggish as before in her speech, "That little... metal arm, whatever it is. The Hell do you do to get it to move like that..? Magical grease?"

River Severin riverwolf

River was quite nervous when the woman opened the door to let him in. He met her after he encountered some cult that had kidnapped him, she had helped him escape, though he supposed that she didn't want to admit that.

The ghostliness of her appearance almost made him feel like he was entering a vampire's home, but he supposed he had to be thankful for somewhere to stay for the night, so he buried any fear he had. "So...um..." He started, "You said you play the violin, right? For how long?" J didn't immediately answer him, which made him feel a little guilty for bothering her. "I'm a uh...big fan of music stuff too, little bit of drums here and there but I mainly play guitar. I had a violin for a minute, I was pretty bad...Like, nails on a chalkboard bad." He saw a little smile on her face. "Well, anyway...thanks for the help back there. Its hard to find someone who isn't after my blood for once."

Silver uwutuber

Silver had never actually experienced a sleepover before. Perhaps to due to the fact he had pretty much zero friends, or that no one invited him to one, or really anything. So the fact that he was having one in real life definitely shocked him. To be fair, it might not really constitute as a sleepover as to letting a letting a stray animal in your house.

Nonetheless Silver was filled with exitment as he happily sprinted through River's door into him home, giggling and laughing hysterically as he did so with a huge grin that looked as if it spread to both sides of his face.

"WOW. I've never been to a sleepover like.. ever! Thanks for inviting me." He put his on hips and looked around, immediately taking notice to fridge. Also the guitar in its case on the couch, but mostly fridge. Running over to it as if he hasn't seen one before before aggressively opening its door, making a loud thud sound as it hit the wall. Deciding to blissfully ignore this the cat rummaged through the fridge with his paws, occasionally sticking his face directly in between the shelves get a closer look, and also occasionally throwing random things he liked inside on the counter. All before slamming it closed, running over and jumping on the counter as the slam made another loud thud.

"Man you had a lot of nice stuff in there. You should make some of that stuff later. Oh!" He opened the cabinet above him and threw out a pack of microwaveable popcorn "that too! So we can watch a movie. Speaking of which I'll go to the couch and pick one." Jumping down from the counter, he trotted to the couch and plopped himself on it. Yawning whilst the popcorn was being microwaved, but also everything else being put away "Nice couch I guess. Also cool guitar!" He knocked on smooth black case, taking back his hand as he whinced a little in pain. Immediately grabbing the remote be started browsing through Amazon Prime "Music people are usually cool, I mean not as much as ME but- WOOOOO damn you got the Godfather!!!" Once River came back with the popcorn and sat on the couch, Silver started the movie and hogged the popcorn.
