What role would the above OC play in a video game?

Just as the title says, this is a game where you take a look at the oc above your post and come up with the role they might play in a video game!

Here are a few things to remember while you're playing:

  • I shouldn't have to say this more than once, but please be respectful of one another.
  • Put some effort into what you're going to say. I'm sure that the other person will appreciate it!
  • If you're going to write something rather long, you may want to claim the post above you, just in case.
  • You can post once for every other three posts. If the thread hasn't moved in 24 hours, you may post before this.
  • NEW ** As of February 27th, please be sure to write more than one sentence. We want to see your imagination run!
  • NEW ** Also as of February 27th, make sure to give the character's profile a read - it helps in forming your assumption of their role! It also shows that you've thought about your answer, and everyone appreciates it. If there isn't anything to their profile and they merely have visuals, disregard this. :)

But how do I play?

  • Though this game might seem somewhat difficult, it's actually quite the opposite!
  • All you have to do is look at the above oc and come up with their role in a video game.
  • Here are some questions you might want to ask yourself if you're stumped: "Are they a protagonist, antagonist, NPC, boss, party member, etc? What genre of video game might they belong in? Do they have any particular movesets? Do they serve a special purpose? Do they do something special in-game?"

Here's an example:

  • Person 1: What kind of video game character would characterA be?
  • Person 2: They look really buff and strong-willed, so they might be the protagonist! I could see them in some fantasy setting, like a noble knight trying to save a princess or something? They look like they could carry around really heavy weapons, and can pack a punch, so I'd say they're the heavy-hitter of the team.

Glass is probably a character you would have to do a lot to interact with carefully or have high charisma stats to own his trust before he offers you rare items necessary to construct something very hard to obtain.

Lust RinRin

Taking in the fact he's a professional boxer, i can see him being a party member, if not even the main character of a turn and strategy based fighting game! He looks and acts the part too.

Mephi seems like a powerful character in a turn based RPG that you can recruit after defeating him in a hidden side quest. He's really strong, but you can only use him as long as he's "motivated", which you can do only by letting him land the finishing hit on an enemy, after which he devours their soul. If his motivation bar falls to zero, he leaves your party and is irretrievable. His regular attacks have lifesteal. He is healed for 10% of all damage dealt. His strongest attack is called "Devour". It is single target and does 120% of his attack damage, with a 25% chance to apply a lasting damage over time effect, which does 50% of his attack damage over 2 additional turns. It can only be used once every 4 turns.

I think Shiro would be an NPC that would help you in some way during gameplay? I think she'd probably deny help politely if the player tried to offer her help however. I also imagine there might be a mechanic that allows you to talk to her more, but doing that would reveal that she's anxious and stuff.

 Salem ophanimkei

Nyx would probably be an unintentional antagonist? Like her actions result in chaos though she doesn't really want to do harm to the player, and Nyx herself is just focused on harming someone else entirely. I'm sure she doesn't really think about the consequences of her actions too much, and I feel like she'd leave destruction in her weight that would be disastrous for the player!

$5 GLITCH-DXCTOR

Salem would probably be an ally NPC that was recruited later in the game after a major battle. His skillset would be mostly support for the main character, but gains SUPER USEFUL moves as he levels up, especially involving telekinesis. He's a crucial part of the final battle and you're basically screwed if you diss him from your party. Also, he has a lot of very amusing and interesting lines that fans of the game use for almost every meta joke.

YEEEESSSS OMG, I might actually do some screencap drawings of dialogue now that you mention it !!!!!

Penelope Soul-Heart

I see Kingston as a character that would mainly bother you for a bit, but possibly help you out once they're in a bad situation. (Like Cloud in Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded). He might also serve as an antagonist with a somewhat sad past that makes you pity them a little bit?

Thane RobotOcelot

I feel like Penelope would be a shopkeeper who sells magic-related items. You are able to befriend her, and she often gives provides you with a lot of useful information to use on quests or battles. The kind/depth of information depends on how well acquainted you are with her.

 Fin. AlwaysGradient

I think Thane would be this kinda sad character that the player ends up really liking. But then he runs out of a soul and the player has to go on a quest to find Thane and another soul to make him last. If the player fails the quest, Thane would die and it would feel terrible and heart wrenching. Though if the player succeeds, he'd stay at the mansion. Though you can still get in contact with Thane fairly easily and he's ready to provide commentary on the player's current setting.
