I have no idea how fast this thread will die considering majority of the people here are artists rather than writers, but it probably won't hurt trying!
The idea of this game are very simple: Post a line (or a few) from your writing project, whether it's a novel, short story or OC bio / background detailing!
It can be something you're really proud of or something you simply like, or just want to share with other people! Feel free to also tell others a bit about the context if you feel like it

From a commission I'm working on for someone (involving a vampire character)
"There was a particular noise associated with it. If Daniel was being a little childish and gross, he might have called it slurping. Less like a kid with juice and more like someone with no teeth trying to tackle a piece of grapefruit. Yeah. Like that, but meatier."
He decided to just grab the first set of things he saw, thankfully not a onesie. He simply threw on some gray sweatpants and some kind of shirt with an obscure anime reference because he’d lost control of his life. He was tired alright, and life seemed to constantly want to make him mess up in front of his crush especially. Everything was a mess.

The female dragon backed up rapidly from this terrible creature, only stopping when she felt her tail hit the rough bark of a tree-trunk. Unconsciously, she reached out to grasp her sleeping son – he was so tiny – and pull him into her chest for safety. 'N-no,' she whispered. 'I don't care about tradition... I don't care about the Tribe. I only want him to live a happy life. I will not condemn him to suffer what you have suffered through your whole life.'
He halted, but did not move away from her. 'You know that I will not allow you and your son to leave my sight,' he said matter-of-factly.
'Yes. You will never stop pursuing us until you have him.'
'Will you give him up now?'
'Never, my King.'
The clouds had covered the moon by then, hiding the glorious whiteness from her view, and she was grateful that she could not see the black dragon clearly as he leapt forwards to attack.

"Alright, is this close enou--" Gold was cut off from a distinctly familiar music suddenly playing through Erandia's Breidablik. Pink worried eyes soon morphed into surprise, realization, and pure deadpan.

Gold stood up and started walking away from the still laughing Erandia, realizing that she just got Rick-fricking-Rolled at 2018.
“Oh thank goodness… because I was gonna say, she’s kinda cute.” Emmy replied.
“OH! OH MY GOD! You’re literally a god who just saved the world, and all you care about is cute girls!”
