It's been many years, and the character now belong to a different user.

Anyway, I would think she is from a family of police (or anything related to law?) but she is quite different. Chaotic and mischief perhaps. So she and her family wouldn't get a long because of her personality and put into a mentor. To think of it, I would she finally faced what she actually is as a person after spending time with her mentor. Now, I would think she want to visit the mentor sometime but currently she is now ready to establish as a person by herself

How did Sotiris get his own fashion sense? Who inspired him to have more distressed, but DIY'ed clothing (either can be a meta related or in-universe guess)?
While his family are part of an anarchist group that existed since the 19th century that lives in an anarchist social center that was a former squat until the 1950s. Even his family is normal and stable, Why Sotiris prefers to live independently and in a different anarchist squat, even he used to have his own house during his university years (which was burnt in 2009) or even in the social center his family lives in?

I think -- subjectively -- not everyone is alone in their experiences. Being figuratively pulled into a situation that involved punk and goth bands would make some sense, in conjecture at least?

I think she leans introvert. She seems to have to force herself to be more social than her natural baseline.

I think because nixies can be kind of territorial creatures she might not naturally be huge on traveling. But also she might see keeping moving as kind of an obligation, lest she impress too much on any given surroundings. It's kind of a necessary... if not evil, then non-ideal scenario.

What might her actual name be?
Damn. I'm pretty sure it's something botanical. Alyce. Alsike. Grace. Marsilea. Is it actually 7 letters? Reyemia. Or.... wait. Seamair?? ? ? maybe.

And without further ado! My thoughts and speculations about both of your questions!

ramyune Since I know quite a bit about Isolde, I think I’m just going to briefly explain my speculations from before I found out more about her and then my thoughts on each questions as of now because I have many big big thoughts about her hehe.

1. Why does Isolde wears a veil when onstage? 

• Originally I thought it had less to do with hiding anything and more with keeping up a narrative. Kinda like how some musicians/artists/performers have a specific persona they put on when they interact with the public, maybe the musician Kari is not the same as Isolde in that regard. I think ultimately though after learning more, my opinion changed. I think one big reason is that it does hide her face from the larger public eye, which is when she’s most likely to be seen by a bunch of people at once. With someone like Isolde, who is one of two of the most attractive people that seems to be the necessity.
• However, what did occur to me while writing this is that if that is the concern… then why use a veil? A mask would probably provide better coverage and certainly couldn’t be blown aside by a stray wind. But she wears a veil instead. Considering her past I find it a fun little bit of cruel irony, which I’m sure may have been the point. But my brain has to wonder why she chooses it, and my theory is that it’s a way to reclaim something that once was a source of pain and sorrow for her, or at least a reminder of such. Which good for her lol!

2. How are the disappearances of women with black hair and blue eyes related to her?

• First thought is a stalker of some kind. Considering her beauty, I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was a fan that was a little crazy. Taking what they can get from the next closest person to resemble her, as fucked up as that is. 
• And speculation proves me right. At least the as far as the motives are kinda concerned. It’s interesting to me that it’s the opposite reasoning that I predicted, for Ren. Hates her so much but can’t kill her, or can’t quite reach her easily. 
• Another possibility that could be guessed is that she’s doing it… that’d be wild lol.

3. What's Isolde's real name? (just take a guess, although people who have seen her old profile will probably know)

• I thought it would be music related, or something similar. Could’ve been as direct as like… idk Cadence, Aria, etc.
• Knowing her name is Iseult makes a whole lot more sense considering her backstory. The name Iseult actually doesn’t have clear roots, or more that it’s uncertainty if it precedes what records we’ve found anyways.  One potential meaning that has been parsed is speculation from a Germanic name, being Ischild, meaning ice and hilt. Thought it was interesting :3c 

• From what I can tell, my initial thought was simply that his eyes weren’t well adjusted to the sun, and that he needed something to help him see better when the sun was out.
• It was a surprise to me that it had to do with an actual traumatic event, which he seems to be having to deal with whether he wasn’t to or not.

• If I had to guess, it’s possible this was a form of a safer retirement? I noted he has a fear of losing people, which seems to imply that he has lost someone… presumably abruptly too. He can still help people but he’s out of harms way.

Is Ruby a cat or Dog?

• Cat, I say with full confidence. I think her ears and the way she holds herself seems to fit that role very well!

• Why is this version of Illanya afraid of wading deep into water?
• Why does she sing a lament or requeim once a month?
• Why did she choose a bear mask?
• What do you think would happen if she died?

• • To start, your first guess is actually correct, though it wasn't as extensive as taking her out to sea. Instead, during her torture she was drowned repeatedly, and water boarded. Usually in a pond sort of deal they had in their hide out... icky gross for sure. But yeah, they never let her die that way, so even if now as an undead she doesn't have reason to fear drowning since she doesn't breathe, she still hesitates.
  • So my bad for not wording it better, and not checking my own notes lmao. A large part of it like in her trivia has to do with her being a Death Knight. However, the contents of her song vary quite a bit and is probably what i should've asked your guesses to what those changes are. Either way, I'm going to explain because I can >:3. Illanya's song does contain laments of her crimes she committed as an undead, yes, but the song also references her failure to save herself as one of her crimes. She has her reasons (bad ones, mind you) to believe that the fault entirely lays on her shoulders. For not being strong enough to deny the bargain she was given, nor to save her soul from being chained to her dead body. Hopefully someday she gets therapy :D.
  • She actually chose the mask for the opposite reason. The mask in question in this one. As a general rule of thumb, undead, especially powerful undead like Illanya are frequently shunned for being monsters. Illanya saw the mask as the lesser of two fears. Sure, a few find it unsettling, but it's better than staring at the face of a dead woman. In addition, though still in my writing backlog, her father's animal (he was a barbarian via dnd rules) favored the techniques of guidance of the bear as a Totem Barbarian, so it is close to being their branch of the family's crest. I might actually make it the animal on their crest some time hehe.
  • YEP, though with a fun extra caveat. You see, Death Knights specifically will die, and their souls return to Abyss, reform and are ready to go again. For Illanya, who has escaped Abyss before, it's almost certain that she'll be roped into serving another fiend, if not driven insane by Orcus (God of the Undead) for believing she could get away. Either way, it definitely is something she wants to avoid. Lucky for her, Death Knight's are incredibly durable.
