Q you wish someone would ask to/about your OC?

Posted 6 years, 1 month ago (Edited 5 months, 12 days ago) by hedgemaze

So there are a number of threads for asking questions to or about other people's characters, but do you ever have that one question you really wish someone would ask that they never do? A detail you think is particularly interesting or mysterious, or maybe just something you think would be really fun to talk about, but there isn't really a forum game that suits it? Well, here's the thread for you.

Post IC (but you don't have to write IC unless you want to) as the character in question-- or stay OOC if your question is about a group of your characters, or all of your characters. Write a question you have wished people would ask you, then let the person below you make their guess or theory as to the answer. You can edit your post later to tell them if they're right, or give the answer, or you can stay mysterious if you want to (if you don't think you're going to remember to come back and edit your post, you can just put the right answer under a spoiler cut or blackout text). Make sense?

Rules:

  • Keep everything SFW!
  • Please ping the person above you so you make sure that they see your response! If you're not sure how to do this, you simply type @THEIRUSERNAME, and they will be notified! This will not work if you edit the ping into your comment later (like if you wanted to claim and then edit your question in); you must put it in when you first submit the comment.
  • You are NOT ALLOWED to skip anyone in this thread. If you cannot see the post above you because the poster or you have blocked each other, wait for another person to comment before replying to the thread. Feel free to bump the thread to encourage others to participate!
  • Wait at least a couple of posts before going again.
  • You can bump the thread as often as you like; I don't mind.
  •  BE NICE and have fun!

 Klüb IcE Rosakura

I'm gonna guess Kalypso found Germ and kinda adopted them as a sort of pet?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who and What is Klüb based off? I've always wanted someone to ask this.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes! You got it correct!

KittyKnight

When I heard the name, my thought INSTANTLY went to Skydoesminecraft's video of Cops and Robbers; Klub Ice edition. And it does seem to fit in! He has a "prison-turned-nightclub", which I believe Klub Ice was, and whilst they were in there, they were brainwashed into always wanting to party. And there was some... Suggestive stuff going on there as well. Plus the "puppets to fight" reminds me of how in the cops and robbers video, everyone usually ends up trying to kill each other one way or another. Tbh, it's probably something completely different, but that's my instinct. Aside from that, no clue lol.

Man, haven't watched him in ages, might revisit that video... That certainly was a ride.

So, Gordon and Michael are cousins, and I want to ask why their relationship is the way it is.

(Edited the question, since it’s been awhile, hope that’s okay!)

KittyKnight

Manual bump, changed the question to see if that’s any easier to answer.

I'm guessing Gordon is aware of Michael's selfish nature, and doesn't trust that he won't put his own needs above the rest of the family.

Why is Mai so stubborn about not admitting her failings?

axolotl WOW. That is 100% accurate! I don't think I could've described it as well as you did. I'm genuinely and thoroughly impressed!

axolotl

Umm it seems like Mai puts up a tough front as a defense mechanism. Being raised by those perfectionist parents, she lacks the feeling of support and unconditional love which creates mistrust in the way she views relationships with others. Still, she can't shake that feeling that her value rests solely on how well she performs. So to save her self-esteem, she refuses to show weakness or loss of control (she won't admit failings -- everything was her original intention), and also feels the need to rise up to any challenge as if it were a direct challenge to her self-worth. I think.

So Lindy & Maylu are pretty close. What do you think typically happens when a love interest encroaches on their circle?

v Hehe good guess - but it's a bit different:

What usually happens is it is Lindy's love interest only, because Maylu has no romantic interest in others. But in order to foil a potential relationship, Maylu will discreetly seduce Lindy's crush - which is easy for her. As the love interest is lured away, Lindy quickly falls into the little sister figure/reliable comrade/one-of-the-guys niches. This is very disappointing for her, and a source of insecurity since it happens everytime she's matched against her sister. She's almost resigned to it actually, but pretends it doesn't bother her. Maylu just strings along these love interests well enough to keep them from taking Lindy instead, but certainly cares nothing for them.

STAGENAME GLITCH-DXCTOR

They start to harbor jealousy for each other but continue to hide it, then it explodes into a violent argument, driving a rift between them. However, a week or two later things are fine again--the love interest was scared off by their argument. I think? Hopefully that's right.

Why do you think Stagename has a complete murder circus with just about everything a normal carnival has, but no so-called "freak show"?

You basically hit it on the dot! That makes me so happy, I couldn’t have put it better myself!!!

Grimm wolfwantsred

Edit: whoops, forgive me I did this late last night!
I'd say Gidget intiated the friendship, and being so friendly made it easier for someone more socially inept like Soren. That, or wouldn't let Soren not be their friend.

My question isn't as serious, but it's one I'm always surprised now one asks. When you say he "melts", do mean he actually melts or...?

Answer is: Yes, he does actually melt! The Hunt aren't entirely physical beings, and in times of high emotion can lose control of their forms all together. Grim has a bit a of reputation for getting emotional and melting into an actual pool of sad.

Jenny hedgemaze

Yes, I'd guess that he actually melts, haha. That's a cute detail.

Any guesses why Jenny is "The Eggbeater"? I kind of doubt anyone will get it, but I'm curious-- it's definitely possible to guess. Hint: the name has nothing to do with food, but everything to with her job.

Progressively more helpful hints below:

She's an actress.

On Broadway, in early 2007. What show is she acting in?

If you don't know, feel free to guess anything. : p

Haha she's literally The Eggbeater in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, which is to say a dancer in the ensemble. I like those guesses though; she's probably done a lot of things over the years.

She's based on an old family friend who was also The Eggbeater!

PaperTsubaki (pinging because this is olddddd)
It seems like Roxie might favor men who are more forward? She seems kind of shy and like it might take quite a bit to get her out of her shell, so there might have to be a lot of persevering on the guy's part. Though at the same time, he'd have to be careful not to be too prying into her past... She might also go for people guys she knows she's smarter than? Ones who will accept her docile kind of facade and not question her too much. If they're too onto her it might be offputting.
Also given how she had so much "prim & proper" sort of behavior driven into her at a young age, maybe she favors guys who are more down to earth and less fancy?
The only physical trait I can think of that she'd gravitate towards are men who share her usual eye colour, so it's less telling when they'd change to match his :')

edit: sorry I've hidden the character for a bit so I'm afraid you'll have to skip me! please feel free to post someone new with a new question :v

hedgemaze

Anyone's free to start the thread fresh with a new question they've always wished to be asked about their OC. :)

Crowley RadiantRaindragon

Well, I'll just jump in here with a question!

Crowley always tells people that his greatest desire is to kill his brother Lucifer, whom he hates. But if he wants this so badly, why hasn't he already done it? He knows where Lucifer (and his parents) live. What's stopping Crowley from just going home and finishing off him right now?
