What is the person above's trademark?

(Related threads: What are your trademark character archetypes, What Do You Like About The Above User's OCs?, ☀️ Say something nice about above user's art)

I often find that a lot of people have themes and signature elements across all their creations that make them identifiable as theirs. There are a few threads around where we get to talk about our own trademarks, but I think it'd also be cool to find out what makes your creations unique and recognisable to other people. You might even learn something you never noticed about your own work!

How to participate: Look through the person above's OCs and works, and tell them what you think their trademark is. How can you always tell that an OC/art/writing was created by them? What stands out about their work that makes it recognisable as theirs, and no one else's?

  • Themes and tropes that they're fond of?
  • Personality types and physical traits that a lot of their OCs share?
  • A recognisable art style?

More detail is always appreciated. You can talk about designs, art style, writing style, and even all of those at once!

Rules:

  • Focus on OC profiles, art, literature and designs. Less focus on details that haven't got much to do with their creative work, e.g. their online identity, icon, profile themes (unless they made them themselves), and posting habits.
  • You can still mention these, of course—just say something about the user's creations first.
  • This is a compliment thread so please be kind and don't take this as an opportunity to diss people!

I think the biggest trademark of yours has to be the your personification, more specifically the element of yours because i see them around alot. Yours has a unique charm put into it that seperates it from the other personification of the elements. Toying with the concepts of the chemical's group which i find creative! There's not alot of people who does it and i appreciate your research and concepts. Speaking of which, i like how the references to the source material you put into your characters p much makes them as a whole and still making them human with balanced and detailed personality. I mean, i know that's the point of personification lol but yours feel... more human with all the things around em. Their job, personality, role, just ties together nicely to the environment they live in

And can't forget your memorable artstyle. Imo, the colours and media you use is p much somehing i identify you with. I think it's because of the soft colours n shading of a colour pencil, which i dont see quite often? It's such a neat thing to see in traditional media and yours has such a nice texture to it. The way you draw the facial structure is also one of a trademark. I cant describe why it's distinct but something about the stylized shape is unique

a definite trademark of yours is your personification of inanimate objects. (like the flowers, food, planets.) and they definitely lean closer to their original inspirations than a lot of other personifications i’ve seen. also, the soft chibi art style you’ve got going on for a lot of your characters. it’s unique to me because the characters look like something out of an indie rpg, rather than a lot of flat, cel-shaded chibi art i see these days. yours give off a very gentle energy. <3

First thing I think when I see you are how each of your characters have a meme for the icons, KEK. And despite how each meme is like... utterly wild, it also shows the basics of what the characters are like (I'll also be stealing some of those memes for my collection, thank u)!
There's also a trademark I'd see in writing style? Like... There's a lighthearted voice, if that makes sense? When I read your profiles, there are jokes and little phrases, but there are also times when the writing gets serious, usually with the backstories. Yet even though it's got some heavy elements to it, there's still the wording and phrasing used that I believe doesn't allow the reader to be weighed down with such a serious moment, telling them that despite all that these are still fun characters! I see that with your writing too in the forum games!

art-wise, i'd say ur trademark is how scruffy/fluffy ur style appears? i'm not sure how to explain that in technical terms, but if u pat one of ur feral OCs or ran a hand thru one of ur humanoid OCs fur/hair it would be really soft u know? also the palettes u use for colouring aren't smthn i see too often in the sense that they're quite natural colours (more often than not, like browns and the like) and they're not at all saturated, so i'd say that's another art-related trademark

a lot of ur characters share similar icons in the sense that a good majority of them are facing forward but slightly to the left (or more/completely to the left) on a white background (if u sort from newest)? i'm not sure if u intended for that but it looks nice and organised and possibly another trademark :0

The first thing I notice with your style is that you put a lot of emphasis on lips and their shape, as well as face shape (lots of sharp cheek bones, unique jawlines between characters, ect.) You include a lot of texture in your designs with the lines in their hair and very detailed ears, particularly on your trolls with larger ears. Your art is also very colorful while still remaining a bit muted, keeping them from being extremely bright/saturated.  For animal characters, you particularly favor reptiles and give them very defined face shapes as well with different types of muzzles and full cheeks.

For your profile writing, you take a lot of influence from Homestuck on many of them, even if not for a fantroll character, which does make it easy to quickly skim and see what the character is all about. For animal characters, you particularly favor reptiles and give them very defined face shapes as well with different types of muzzles and full cheeks. I'd also say you stick almost purely to fantasy styled stories as only a small handful of your completed bio characters are regular humans.

1. Your artstyle is really polished, yet cartoony. I could see you doing speed-draws with this sort of stuff.

2. Your characters are interesting. You've got a freakin' dating sim demon! Which is awesome!

3. Your profiles are simple and pleasing to the eye (i'm a sucker for minimalism when it's used right)

Hmm, here's a few of the trademarks I noticed!

Your art has a very chibi and colorful style to it! I especially noticed you used a lot of sharp edges on simple characters, making for a really unique look .w.

Character-wise, you definitely have a very upbeat style of writing your bios, and you don't tend to take it too seriously! It's good to see someone who likes to have a lot more fun with writing :)

Another thing I noticed is you like to use a lot of purples and greens, and you have a very simple way of drawing cute lil' faces-- and you also have a lot of magic or fantasy oriented designs and bios!

I find your combined interests of creating anthro characters and various cultures, particularly from South Asia, fascinating. It's not a combination I see often enough and instill a unique charm to your characters, especially with how deep you invest your time into studying those cultures. Since you've mentioned on your profile that many of your OCs are invisible on TH at the moment, I feel it's kinda premature to say what is your trademark but I certainly like the direction I can see now!

Aside from the theme, I'd say you have a fondness of canine characters, since they're the majority of what I can see now. Your art is like a simpified realism of animal drawing - I wouldn't say it's cartoony because I can notice that you have a thorough understanding of animal anatomy. You tend to use more subtle shade of colors; earth tone colors also seem to be dominating. Your style use a decent to high contrast when it comes to shading and there are also a few pieces with overpowering strong lighting style. Drawing hair looks to be one of your strongest points in art as I find the hair on your OCs very natural, so gorgeous!

I'd say your interest and knowledge on Slavic topics, from the folklore to the Russian military, seems to be your main trademark. It is astounding the amount of work you do to research your characters and make sure everything is up to snuff. On another note, the fact that most of your characters are personifications of these interests is another super cool trademark. They all seem really natural and human, even with the amount of detail that remains true to its source inspiration. Finally, I'd say that your dynamic color work is your trademark on a technical level; it doesn't feel too poppy or saturated, and you have a great grasp on light, shadow, and fabric.

Among the characters you have up, I'm noticing you have a lot of elementals. There's a spooky quality to the way they're written, their forms are very fluid and they behave like the materials they're made of as much as they behave like sentient beings. There's a kind of folklorish feel to the style of fantasy, especially in the way you talk about abstract entities like creativity as tangible things. (I have no idea if you're familiar but it reminds me of Fallen London a little?)

Your art complements that well, there's an earthy feel to it, somewhere between fairy tale and horror, brought out by your pencil sketch style.

I'm also noticing a few of them have details pertaining to music in their profiles, which makes sense since you are a musician yourself!
