General Thread for PSAs

okay, so this is probably really petty of me considering all of the bs you guys've dealt with.

there's been a user that i've been dealing with for around a month now, pming them periodically asking for updates regarding a trade. instead of letting me know that they either need more time / aren't interested in trading, they've consistently opened my pms and ignored me. 

i pmed them today saying that if they don't reply within the week, that i'll put the character back up for trades and maybe make a beware post here. i haven't contacted anyone else yet, and i'm assuming the user is a kid judging from how they present themself.

how should i go about this?? i mean it seems really minor now that i'm typing it out but it's been bugging me for a while.

Tearyia it's two traditional black and white headshots for two characters. it's been kinda sketchy but i'm assuming this user is a kid.

I've been wondering if I should ask this person about this YCH I got from them over a month ago. (this is on DA btw) I already asked them before and they sent me the sketch but they haven't updated me at all. what really upsets me is there are 2 people ahead of me who haven't gotten theirs yet, one of which paid in January. and this person has been posting other shit, other YCHs and getting those done. I paid 1200 points for this YCH and I don't know what to do. I'd rather just have the art than a refund but they haven't updated me at all. should I send them another note?

Update: I pulled their leg, (politely) saying that if didn't get a response I would have to ask for a refund, and they immediately said they'd get on it, finished the lines and have now said that they're working on the colors now so I guess all they needed was my threat of asking for my money back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@princeacidkitten hmm, maybe talk to the other people who got a ych as well and ask what they've been doing? 

YATA I would definitly post a psa about something like that.  Or at least a Buyer Beware.  That... Just sounds like one of those "artists" that only really does stuff for their friend circles.  It's one thing to be up front (I've seen artists plainly state it may be months for work to get done because of issues with staying motivated.) But it really just sounds like they are really immature from what little info you discribed.  Plainly stating you want a refund,  even if it is a small amount, and not accepting excuses may be something you need to do.  I would suggest giving a deadline (art or money by x date) but you did state you didn't even want it so that may not be something you want?  But if you are concerned about being upset,  don't be!  It sounds like you have every right to be.
