General Thread for PSAs

here to ask abt a concern with a user i bought from a while back. 

so, i bought a design for 3000 deviantart points (~$30) with the promise of 2 rendered fullbodies on june 8, 2022 and have not heard back since 2 months ago (july 3) when i was told that the art was “sketched out and half colored,” but they were busy with AF. i last reached out a month ago (aug 27) and sent both a comment + PM in regards to it just now requesting progress, a partial refund, or a work-around/compromise. they’ve posted just yesterday on instagram. i have no clue of when they’ve last checked here.

i don’t use my instagram because i don’t like social apps much, but if i need to reach out there, i will. if anyone who wants to give an in depth bit of advice wants to see the design itself and the comments, shoot me a pm. same applies if you want the username of who i’m referencing, just send a pm my way.

again, i don’t mean this to be a psa or some crud along that line. i just want advice.

update: just checked their art tab. they last uploaded on october first. sigh

GoodnightMoonlight thank you for the advice. i did send an updated PM to let them know that i do feel very pushed aside, and i do agree on the fact that AF was prioritized over paid owed artwork. i’ll get into my insta now and attempt to message them, and possibly depending on how things go, i may write a small a PSA. (not sure yet, i may just write one regardless as this business practice is… less than ideal for clients.) they have no stats visible, so i can’t see their last login time, but their last art upload is dated to oct 1.

there’s around 2 pages of designs in their pending folder, and i worry that other users are being ghosted in the same way.

just reached out, i’ll drop an update when i can.

upd: got a response, user was busy with irl issues. hoping to work out a partial refund for the 3000pt i paid

Hello!! I'm looking for advice in regards to a trade currently going on ^_^! I hope this is okay here but if not, I can move it. 

Someone had offered on an OC in a trade thread and I accepted their art offer in mid July for two chibis. They sent me an update a week (or less?) later and I approved of the drawings.  

In mid August, I asked for an update to which they said they could start lining but they were coming down with an illness which was fair.   

I asked again in September and they said they had forgotten and would finish it soon. 

My question is, what should I do? I see they're doing comms and personal art and i understand if trades aren't a priority... but I just don't know how long I should wait to ask for another update and they've already started work on the trade so I can't put it up for offers.

Although my PSA concerning OMUKADE/KlLLEROUS first went up in September of 2020, and although it was my belief at the time that OMUKADE was guilty of rewriting their TOS in order to take back at least one design without notice or compensation, there has been a lot of activity recently in regards to a SECODN and much more widespread issue of double-selling designs.

Thanks to several TH users coming forward in the comments on the thread, we have uncovered 4 or 5 separate incidents of double selling so-far. If you or someone you know owns any design created by OMUKADE, it may be advisable for you to double-check their account here on TH and/or use the 'SEARCH' function to see if there are any double-uploads of your designs here on TH.

hey i need some help, i was just informed that a piece i received during artfight was heavily copied and traced (the original was uploaded months before this years artfight even started) and i was wondering if i should make a psa about it since their artstyle varies a lot so other stuff might be traced and copied too? 

considering the current situation with artfight i doubt my report would be heard and/or worked on quickly since they have a lot of unresolved tickets open just regarding tracing and all. im of course gonna do it anyways but would a psa be a better short term solution so people know who to avoid until something happens?
