Chugga Chugga - story post 6
CHOO CHOO!
That was the last noise Orion expected to hear. His head shot up, looking around wildly for the source of the distinctive train noise. Was he going crazy?
CRACK
The sound of metal screeching to a halt.
Orion couldn't help but scream as the train appeared from seemingly nowhere in front of him.
"Orion!"
"Wisp?!"
"And Wolfram!" The goddess stuck her head out of the train window as the door slid open. "What are you waiting for, my wily little waif, hop on!"
"W-waif?"
"There's no time to lose. Hop on! We have to find the adventurers before all of reality collapses in on itself," Wisp called out to him.
Quickly, Orion hopped aboard.
"Th-thank you," he breathed out shakily, so, so thankful to see another living being again.
"Of course. I wasn't going to leave you stranded." Wisp's expression was even more serious than usual. "But now we have to figure out how we're going to stop this."
"Worry not," Orion said, a smile creeping onto his face. For once, he felt confident and prepared. "I think I've figured this out. To the adventurers!"
