Burning, falling, cracking

Tears of blood burn in your eyes

Desperate shame reigns in your heart

For all you wanted was appreciation

All you desired was to be above

So you fled, you disobeyed, you attempted to conquer

But this was a war you could not fight

Now you lay a broken husk

Now you cry a child's woes

Will the fawn ever truly escape its cage?
